Good Battery
This is a good battery, but it does not function as long on a charge as I hoped or expected, especially when taking video. However, it is identical in fit, function, and performance to the battery that came with the camera, because both are Canon batteries made by Sony. Not as pictured

Factory better than aftermarket
You spend about double for a Factory Canon Branded battery. If you feel you are getting double the performance from that battery it is a good value. I have found that an OEM battery out last the generics. They tend to die rather quickly on a full charge. Genuine Canon Battery
Tried the off label brand and the camera did not like it and gave an error message. Camera worked with non-name battery but I was unsure on reliability and holding charge so went with Canon own brand and it works fine. Worth paying the extra for piece of mind and full compatibility. Excellent Batteries
Only Canon batteries would work in my T6i so these batteries are great. They hold a long charge but are a bit slow to charge when needed. I bought some knock off batteries that were a complete waste of money. Stick with Canon batteries, you won't regret it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
