Good main system alternative.
I have purchased three of these units over time. They all still function reliably. I have a very big yard part of which is not on the main sprinkler system. These units work just like the main unit and support for sprinklers each. Downside is having to roll up the hoses when it's time to mow and occassionally having to replace batteries (but not often).Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

It is larger and deeper than I thought, knowing their other products, but that is okay. The keypad removes for easy programming, which is good, but the connection seems tenuous and makes me want to elastic band it to the unit so that it does not get bumped off...a concern as the band may not hold up well in the weather, and defeat it 'ease of use'. NOT GOOD
I bought this timer with the intent to use it at home. When I started to use it I program it as instructed and then I found out that once all the cycles were finish the last one would not turn off. I change the batteries thinking that it could be the batteries but no change.. I tried to reprogram the timer and no change. I stayed with my old one which is the same brand. Does not work, stays on or just stops working. Don't waste your money.
This 4 outlet controller does not work, stops working randomly/ consistently, staying on flooding the area, batteries require replacement every couple of weeks. After struggling I checked Orbits website and all the reviews were 1 star stating the same challenges I have faced. I also purchased the two outlet controllers and they don't work either. These appear to be working and then either stay watering or don't water at all. I have reprogrammed them over and over using the instructions on Orbits website and Youtube and still experience the same disasters.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Irrigating an Arizona Garden
This is a great timer for the garden where there is no electricity. The timer can be set at a different setting for each of its 4 outlets. so one crop can be irrigated every other day for a set number of minutes and another can be set for daily watering for fewer minutes etc. Great for more frequent watering of seeds and less for plants that like less water. The price was excellent as the packages were roughed up. I suspect they were cheaper than we pay here because they came from Michigan at the end of summer- I cannot imagine using them in Michigan - September, October and November is when we plant our winter crops in Arizona.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

easy to setup
