My lovely Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 second generation.
Much has been written about this interface/converter. Read as much as you can. I did, before I bought. -- I was up and running in about 20 minutes on my Mac, running GarageBand, using a Studio Project B3 mic and an EV RE20. I'm recording my upright bass and other acoustic and electric instruments. I should warn you that the 6i6 doesn't have quite enough gain for the RE20. I knew that going in and wasn't bothered. I have external preamps I use for the RE20, since the 6i6 has two line-ins that accommodate external pres. My ART dps ii has S/Pdif out so it allows the 6i6 to be truly six in, if needed. I tried it and it worked great. (To do this all the sync has to run from the ART, as is often the case with S/Pdif.) -- Within 30 minutes of having the 6i6 set up and running I tripped over a cord and brought it crashing down on to the floor. No problem at all, it's well-built. --- This vender seems to be associated with Focusrite and sells the previous models. My interface arrived neatly wrapped, sealed in a brand new box, with all needed cords, etc. It's a brand new unit. It's a great deal and for me, an excellent interface.
