Everything runs quickly and smoothly. It's great to not have to deal with fan noise. You will need a hub, as there are only two connectors, including the power and headphone connector. Make a list of anything that you will need to connect, and then find a suitable hub. If you require fast, external hard disk access, remember to choose a thunderbolt 3 or 4 hub instead of a USB-C hub. Highly recommended.
The MacBook air is a superb laptop, even if this is the pre-M1 chipped version. Quick to start up, easy to use all the usual Apple design features, and it looks really good in this colour too!
Unbelievably fast while being super slim and somehow never getting hot (or needing a fan?!) Been a Windows user for the last 16 years and thought it would be a bit of a learning curve to switch to Mac, but it's been surprisingly seamless and very intuitive. The super competitive pricing of the M1s also made this an easy decision and I don't regret it!
Great form-factor and build quality. The keyboard and touchpad have a nice feel and precision. The screen and speakers are excellent quality. The battery life and performance are exceptional. The only downside of these ultra-thin laptops is the webcam, not enough depth for a good camera. So I have an external webcam on standby.
This M1 Macbook does everything I need from a laptop. It is fast, easy to work with and I would say it is user friendly with an exclamation point. Really worth the money.
Bought this for my wife starting Uni she’s absolutely over the moon with it. If the only thing that’s different is a $ key instead of £ then it’s a bargain. I have a MacBook Pro 2018 & it’s the best thing I did swapping from a windows laptop. I have a works windows i7 pc & it’s awful in comparison.
