    Efficient Home-Office Shredder

    I bought this as a Christmas gift, and whilst it's only slightly different to my own shredder, the basic grinder is the same. The recipient of this item reports that it's a darned good bit of kit, and as such, this is their words, not mine. The main issues of the 'grinder' is that when shredding A4 paper without stopping between each sheet, the motor starts to smoke, overheat and then stops. It may well be that as a home product it wasn't designed to handle multiple sequential sheets, and that's an issue that the manufacturer has built-in, and IMO needs to be addressed, otherwise it's a poor design which affects the functionality of it, so make a mental note when researching this product type.

    Does the job for home use .

    Arrived before due date which was great ....nice looking product , only fault I didnt realise it can only be useed for a couple of minutes , then has to cool down for 40 mins. not neccesery a problem as only for home use , but would be difficult in an office sittuation , but aside that it works fine .

    So quiet

    This shredder is great it's so quiet and easy to use I love the handle as you can lift the top of the shredder with ease also it has a window in the bin which means you can see if the bin is getting full I have bought another one for my daughter as it works perfectly.

    Cross cutter

    I purchased this machine because my old one gave up. The previous one said it would take up to 6 sheets but struggled with one. This machine seems to cope very well with all types of paper some quite heavy. All in all i am happy with it.

    Handy little shredder

    Purchased this after shredding the gears on my larger very old shredder. I wanted a smaller one and this one seemed to fit the bill. I do like it, especially with having a handle ( I struggled with the older one due to arthritic hands. The handle makes all the difference . Not sure if I would put 6 sheets of paper through like it suggests as it seems to struggle.

    Excellent shredder

    I have had several shredders in the past, 2 straight cut and 1 cross cut. This is my second cross cut and this one is definately the best. It is not silent, but is most certainly a lot quieter than any other, the paper goes through very smoothly and quickly, shredding into nice small pieces. I will continue using this one for as long as possible. Quite simply, this is the best.

    Be aware of stated cooling time- otherwise works fine.

    This shredder is OK to use, and does the job, at a reasonable price. There is one thing that was not clear to me when I was buying it- it says on it use for 2 (two) minutes then cooling off time 40 (forty) minutes. If this is really true you are in for a long haul if you have a large batch of shredding, as 10 mins of shredding might take hours with 40 mins wait? I have just re-checked the machine to make sure what I am saying is right and the wording is "2 minutes use with 40 minutes cooling time"

    Am ideal tool for the home.

    An ideal tool for the home, not too big but plenty big enough to take all the documents I no longer want to keep. It is much quieter than my previous one plus the cross cutting part cuts the documents into really small pieces so they can't be pieced back together and the viewing window lets you know when it needs emptying and with it being able to handle staples I don't have to mess about trying to unpick them. On the whole I am very pleased with it and also good value for the money.
