FOR ME ALONE ! BRILLIANT.
A decent output of 4.8w covers accessories on a live supply with ignition off. A good size for my skoda yeti dash (dinner tray size)but useless for mini.Easily sorted to a point, if the varying units available had there dimensions stated as with other features.Nice to have a facility to check the unit output in a short optical light lead easily attached where're, rather than a unit blinking (come nick me ) so not easily seen by potential thieves.However an additional socket 1 in 2 out, would be helpful to view optical orb say below dash without having separate unit from plug power point disconnect check and reconnect. continual daylight charging for a parked car
certainly does the job but a little large and quite heavy for its size. It would help if the light provided was built into the solar panel as when the panel is working you cannot tell if it is providing the necessary charge. Great solar charger, serious bit of kit!
Great to keep the battery charged while the car is unused. The battery drains when the car is locked and the alarm on, this charger keeps the battry topped up. Comes with cigarette lighter adapter to charge, but make sure the lighter socket stays live when the car ignition is off, crocodile clips to connect under the bonnet to charge points, but the best connector is the obd plug, the easiest way to connect is to the obd port, it is always live, pin 12 is positive, and pins 4 and or 5 negative, so even if the ignition is off, it will charge the battery, and you dont have to trail wires from under the bonnet into the car, possibly damaging either the wires or the door seals.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Easy to use Solid Simple Bit of Kit
This device is well made and so easy to use, I had my doubts because the 4.8 watt output seemed a bit low, however on my car which is very power hungry when parked especially after opening and closing doors it manages to recover battery voltage from around 12.1 volts back to 12.6 volts in 2-4 hours. I am to say the least very pleased I bought this after years of risking flat batteries. Pros Solid and reliable, good value. Well packaged Cons I would like to see an LED to show if its charging while its plugged in. Large and heavy for the amount of power generated. It would be nice if it was waterproof so I could put it on my caravan battery. Gets very very hot on a sunny day. Very easy installation, sadly there's no indicator that shows it's working, ( coloured flashing led would not have added much to manufacturing costs ) Mine does work with results achieved after a weeks good weather, with Stop/Start now working well on my car.
