A brilliant piece of kit.
The Benro GD3WH 3-way Geared Head has been on my horizon for a while, but I was unsure because some reviews said it was heavy. Anyway a good opportunity arose and I bit the bullet, I'm glad I did - the head is not as heavy as I had been led to believe and on my Novo Explora T10 tripod it is quite manageable. I have only been out with it once, it only arrived last week, and I was very impressed with how easy it is to operate and to fine tune composition. First impressions are that this is a well made and reasonably light tripod head. Quick release override for all three axes works well. Gear driven movement are smooth operators. Light, solid, steady
Replace a ball head with geared head just for the sake of TS-E lens. Leveling the camera is now a walk in the park. Even with a tele mounted at nodal point, there's no creep at all. There's no way to set all axis too loose mode, so you'll lose the fluidity of ball head.
