Better than expected
It's only been installed for a few days and it works fantastic so far. It's whisper quiet and able to cool a 1000 sqft wood shack (no insulation) from 100F to 72F while it's 90+ outside in 20 min and keep it there; impressive. Nearly everything you need to install the unit is included. Non-handy people will need to hire an a/c contractor for install. Handy people, you'll need to run electric to the outside unit, run the pipes & electric through the wall between the units, and a vacuum pump to evacuate the lines before opening the king valves and releasing the refrigerant. Only downside I've found so far is that the temperature setting is only in Celsius. No option to change it to Fahrenheit. It's not a deal-breaker.

Off Brand unit, good price, time will tell
This is an off brand unit. When I sent in the registration card it was returned as no longer a valid address, I was able to get an email response and have submitted registration information that way, waiting for confirmation. Unit seems to be okay and is working, but not what I thought I had purchased. Installation instructions are very weak. I did have it professionally installed, so instructions were not a problem. Blows cold, well built, could be improved
It seems like a well made system. It blows cold but there are some downsides to it. First, the line set is garbage. You may have problems torquing the flare fittings, especially the 3/8 line. I had to cut and reflare it 7 or 8 times before I could get it to about 20 lb. ft. of torque. You should shoot for the lowest torque values the manual specifies, maybe even a few lb. ft. less. Second, the remote leaves a lot to be desired. It is an infrared remote. The manual for the remote specifies that it must be within 8 meters (about 26 feet) of the head unit for it to work. This is generous as I've found that it must be within about 16 feet for it to work reliably. Because of this the remote and the head unit are often out of synce as to the desired setpoint temperature. If the head unit doesn't beep when you push a button then it probably didn't take the command. In addition, the "follow me" setting really just seems to be a "show me the temperature where the remote is currently" setting, that's it. It doesn't change any behavior or the setpoint of the head unit.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
