Compact marvel of radio engineering
Compact and easy to use, with good quality sound and a refined look, this radio really does everything you need a DAB radio to do. It has FM as well of course! The bluetooth function means I can easily stream music from my phone once it has been "paired" with the radio. As a result I can run through a playlist or search for tracks on Amazon and play the music I want at my desk or in the bedroom. The new version with stereo is no doubt an improvement but if you are sitting close to the radio, as I normally am, stereo on a small-ish radio doesn't really offer any advantage. The look is similar to the old analogue Roberts radio I have from the 1980s, except that that radio is twice the size; though the old one booms out a hefty volume, the new Rambler gives you a more rounded and accurate sound. I am more than happy with it as a fine piece of tech, a decent item of furnishings and a handy companion throughout the day.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

great value!
i purchased a £49 c grade, it came next day, in a tatty box, the radio was perfect not a scratch on it. i was surprised the sound quality was so good up to 1.5 watts output. and the battery's don't last unless you set it to eco, and then they are fine, i have placed the radio inside a 30 year old ghetto blaster and used the stereo headphone to feed the signal to a 10 watts RMS per channel amplifier also mounted inside the ghetto blaster and fitted 10 watt RMS twin cone speakers. the radio is powered by 4 li-ion battery's and the amp by 6 li-ion battery's isolated from each other to avoid DC current problems that may occur. the sound quality and power is brilliant!. i am an OAP with too much time.

An excellent modern radio with retro charm.
This is a very good little radio - and I'm a pro musician! I haven't mastered the allocation of channels to presets, but find it easy and interesting to click through the channels on DAB.
