High quality speaker stands for a low cost

For years I needed decent stands for my KEF 7.1 setup and I finally decided to take action. Many stands are either too expensive or flimsy. Nothing seemed to catch my eye until I saw these. These stands are premium build for a low cost. They certainly have character and don’t topple over easy. They could easily cost way more for what they are and are quite the bargain indeed. You can use them for home theatre or music studio. They’re really easy to set up and are attractive to look at, depending on one’s taste. They’re quite good at dampening sound too and don’t disappoint with no vibrational feedback. I highly recommend these for any audiophile. If you are looking for the ultimate stands with a professional hard wearing build, then these may be right up your alley.

Good value but can be improved.

What you get is at the low price you paid, but it can be improved. Pros: Cheap, functional for a medium size bookshelf speaker but wouldn't trust them for anything much larger (base size is 8" square). Height adjustment at the low end is o.k for flat screen T.Vs on a floor stand or cabinet. Cons: Cheap thin paint, minimum of welds to hold it together. Cup mounting design for top and bottom using a single bolt doesn't give stiffness and parts can start working loose. Lack of a well thought out cable management system to hide cables from speaker to floor. Triangular base is the correct shape for stability, but only for smaller bookshelf speakers. Improvement mods: 1. carefully seal all the open joints not welded in the base with black epoxy, drill a 12mm hole in rear, fill with kiln dried paving sand and fit rubber blanking plug. Base weight increases from 1.3-3kg! 2. Open the holes used for their external cable clips to 12mm, fit circular grommets and pass speaker cables down inside of tubes. 3. Align the top plate as you want it. Close to the top plate speaker support bolt, drill a 2.5mm hole through plate and inside the threaded block. tap the threaded block M3 then drill the top plate 2.5mm hole out to 3mm. Assemble top plate using a M3 c'sunk screw to lock in position and fit centre bolt. You can still twist the tube to fine tune the mounting plate angle, but the top mounting plate won't slacken and wiggle loose. Fit warning labels near each spike/foot thread: 'Sand filled, always keep spike or rubber floor foot screwed in!' Note that fine kiln dried sand will escape from any small hold left in mitred corners not filled with weld or sealed with epoxy. Now this cheap stand does what I wanted - heavier base, more rigid and with hidden cables.

  • Great Stands

Whilst these won't please serious audiophiles out there , for the money they are the cheapest and most rugged solution for anyone wishing an adjustable monitor stand. I don't know of any others with a static base and adjustable pole height. They are certainly sturdy enough , and the added option of spikes/feet included , allows for base adjustment on eneven floors to get the top platform level. I am very impressed. No they can't be filled with a dampening material , but I use mine with costly 40mm V-foam under the speakers - and the results are superb as this soaks up any vibration that would normally transfer to the stand in operation. For the home studio - there are several foam- based products available that would do this , and I would recommend purchasing a pair to go with these stands - for critical listening. Any negative reviews you may have read are innacurate , and the build quality and castings are quite sufficient for the job - with a decent , durable paint finish. All bolt-holes were properly tapped , the bolts the right length - and assembly was easy and simple with the supplied allen key. A perfect solution for what I wanted - and you would be pushed to find equal alternatives to these great stands , a real bargain. 100% recommended - as are Wicks , with their fast delivery and great customer-service.

  • Excellent professional stands

These are excellent heavy-duty speaker stands.... The standard of build certainly lives up to their brand name! Aesthetically they may lack that elegant domestic feel but that suits me. Excellent product at a reasonable price.

  • No Cable Tidy thats any good

Great product only beef is in video I seen says you can run cable down pipe [you cannot] but don't let this put you off. It has its own cable tidy but is useless at the back of the pipe. So just get some black straps/velcrose and it looks great. Cheap as chips and sturdy enough for my heavy B&W speakers [10lb each] Buy this item.

  • Sturdy robust stands

The stands feel very solid and are very easy to put together. If in doubt, look on YouTube. There's a demonstration of how to construct them. The bases are triangular and provide reliable support. I never feel the stands are going to topple over. Mine arrived with only the spiked carpet feet which as I have tiled floors is no god to me. . However, the supplier quickly dispatched a set of the rubber feet with no quibble what so ever. I live in Spain so It I was pleased there was no issue with the sending out the parts. I have a set of Rocket KRK5s sat on the stands and they fit well. There's room for larger monitors if necessary.

  • Gorilla monitor speaker 🔊 stands

The Gorilla monitor speaker 🔊 stands are absolutely fine for the money 💵, they come with an Allen key 🔑 to assemble, and rubber feet or metal spikes with adjustable nuts, however they are no frills in the finish of the stands and supplied feet bolts, washers and the welding, some burs etc, but for budget speaker 🔊 stands they work as intended and worth the money 💵 I payed for them, I'm happy with my purchase, if you're getting a studio together whether it's at home or a professional environment you can't really go to far wrong with this brand, they are hight adjustable which is great to get my speaker 🔊 at the correct ear 👂 level which is paramount when creating music 🎶, i did receive one that was faulty, but it was quickly replaced by the seller, i have no problems so far using Gorilla studio monitor Sands

  • Studio monitor stands for studio

This is a fantastic product for very reasonable price. Looks great in my studio and it holds 8 inch monitors and these speakers are very heavy but it’s holding well. It comes with all the necessary accessories to assemble. Good hight and good low setting. Solid and the size is right, before it arrives I was thinking maybe the triangle at bottom might too a bit big and might some space into the room but actually it’s great size. I’m happy with these stands and it works for me.

  • Sturdy build, easy to assemble but poor cable management

It's still a good value without the proper cable management, which you can sort out in your own way. Perfect for my 6" KRK's, but it could hold 8" monitors just as well. Sadly it's only available in black, as I'd love to have them in white to match the speakers.

  • Ignore the bad reviews.

Was slightly sceptical having read mixed reviews of this product, but I found them both easy to set up, and of robust build quality that are solid as a rock now they're set up and look first class. The base is a bit on the wide side at a full 17" which resulted in me needing to nudge my set up over a bit to accommodate them, but rather that than a base that is smaller and less sturdy so it's a minor gripe. Overall though, perfectly usable and in my opinion, of really good quality and a real bargain and would highly recommend.
