Simple, reliable, accurate heart rate monitor for training and exercising. Very happy with it.
Bought this to use to give heart rate while training. It is excellent! It just works! I've had various wrist-based fitness trackers, which use light to measure heart rate, with varying success. I wanted something more reliable and accurate. This chest HR monitor detects the electrical impulses of the heart as it beats. This is much more reliable. Not everyone likes to wear a chest strap while training. You do tend to be aware of it initially, but I found that I forget about it most of the time it is on, once training starts. It needs to be linked with a phone to view that data, but you can set it up so that the device records the session while you leave the phone somewhere else, then you can view the details of a single session afterwards, on the Polar Beat app. It is washable and can be used for swimming, although personally I probably wouldn't wear one in a public swimming pool. There is a wide range of sports and activities you can load onto the app - about 80 in total I think. It will also connect to two bluetooth devices at once, so you can see realtime heart rate on a compatible watch. I have used this with a polar M430 watch (which is itself a very good wrist HR monitor. The H10 has also connected to compatible running machines at the gym too. Overall, it's an excellent piece of kit. Simple, but reliable and accurate, if you are happy to wear a chest strap. The polar apps (Polar Beat and Polar flow give good stats) and there is also free Polar Flow software that can be accessed from the Polar website too.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Got this monitor out of interest really, didn’t want to become a world champ at 65 . It’s become a bit of an obsession with me buying books about heart rate training. The apps polar beat and flow are easy to follow and I am getting a benefit from training with the monitor, before I was overtraining the monitor has helped me pan training days better . Best of both worlds - ANT+ and Bluetooth
This is a great HR sensor.
