Sensor Excel Kit (handle & attachable blade)

At last, again! A totally great shave for a 52 years old female - unlike the poor shave that you get from the rubber surround blade kits that are slowly taking over and pushing out these older type of kits. Am so fed up with these! I have tried so many of the 'Venus-style' kits, but have finally given up now and returned to the tried and trusted Gillette Sensor Excel. Am so happy to have returned to the 'old' kit that gives a great shave. Totally smooth, no nicked or chafed skin. BRILLIANT SHAVING AGAIN!

  • Most critical review

    Blunt blades

I've been buying this brand of blades for year's at the supermarket but spotting a tempting price on eBay I eagerly sent for two packs of ten which turned out to be a bad decision as they seem to be a faulty batch because they're not sharp at all. I've tried a different blade on two occasions but they tend to tug on the wiskers and not cut, the old adage springs to mind 'you get what you pay for'. I think a smoother shave would be achieved with a rusty pen knife. A disappointed customer.

  • A GOOD CLEAN SMOOTH SHAVE (EXCEL FOR EXCELLENCE)

I have used these blades from them coming onto the market around 25 years ago. I have tried other brands over the years, but they don't come up to the standard of these. I get an excellent clean shave and I very rarely cut myself, or get skin burn as with other brands. I don't know what I shall use when these run out because, I have been told that they have stopped making them now and not available in shops anymore, so will have to keep buying on line while they are available. I am 80 years of age and will have to grow a beard when they are not available, because I won't be buying any of the other brands.

  • A close shave

Fed up with these latest hipsters rubber razor blades ripping my grizzled grey whiskers out after a single use I dug my trusty 20 year old Gillette sensor out the storage box in the roof void only to find I had difficulty in getting the blades locally , then I discovered this eBay seller . Top marks they are just as good as when I was a 38 year old newly wed guy ( 28 years ago ) . Even my lass remarked how much younger I looked after having a shave with them ... That compliment alone deserved and got a box of chocs & a meal out .............. I'm now on my second honeymoon .

  • Terrible blades

My husband was having trouble getting these blades from local chemists so saw them online and ordered them . When they arrived they were terrible- dragged his skin and cut him. They were like used blades that you would throw away normally. He has been using this brand for the last 20 years so he is an expert on how they should perform. The only explanation we came to is are they seconds?

  • Not great

I’ve used these heads for years and always bought them from a shop, but I bought 20 of these of eBay and I’m sorry to say they are not the same quality as I only get one shave out of them. From a shop I could get maybe five or six from each head. Shame as the price was very good.

  • Worth the money.

Thank goodness Gillette Sensor blades are still obtainable on eBay, as Gillette have discontinued the best blade they ever made. I hope they will be available for a long time to come.

  • Poor quality not sharp at all

Not happy with these razor blades, I’ve had these for years but first time buying on line and very disappointing as not sharp at all, I am unable to use them.

  • Not what they used to be!

Only given 4 stars as the blades don't seem to shave so smooth as they once did. Also I don't get as many shaves out of blades. I have tried many blades and systems but still come back to these sensor excel blades. However I feel the quality is going downhill.

  • Better than the five bladed ones

Prefer these to to the five bladed ones, they follow facial contours much closer. They don't irritate my skin as much and as a consequence I get fewer spots. They're not perfect ''I still get some nicks and scratches'', but they are a lot easier to live with overall.
