Easy Peasy Replacement
This was a direct replacement for a 14 year old Siemens RWB2 electro-mechanical programmer and did not require any changes to the existing wired wall-plate. Physical replacement took less than 5 minutes and programming of the central heating and hot water timers from the pre-set settings to personal requirements not much longer. The programmer also had pre-set date and times, the latter only requiring minor re-adjustment. The programmer also has the facility for holiday switch-off setting, but have not yet used this. Very easy replacement
My programmer was about 20 years old. To swap it for this one took only seconds. The new unit knew the correct date and was preset with times to come on and off. Easy to change if you have certain earlier Drayton programmers.
Ideal if you are replacing a Tempus 7 etc. as this item will attach to the existing back plate. Programming is more awkward as there are only buttons to press.
