Easy to set up and operate this is a very good communication system.
Having checked out many options to replace our ageing and failing BT units we found the Panasonic-KX-TG6824EB-Quad-Phone-with-Answering-Machine on an Ebay auction site and won the items, for an excellent price from a 'trusted trader'. Unlike the instructions supplied with our previously used BT units, those included with the Panasonic items were clear and relatively easy to follow, allowing all the units to be set up and operating quickly and easily. The unit designs are modern in appearance, fitting the hand well with a clear illuminated keypad and adequate volume options and the only criticisms I would offer, stopping a 5 star rating, is;- 1) Is that you need to insert the 'phonebook' names/umbers manually into a handset, although these are then copied automatically to other linked units, and ;- 2) That you actually 'accept' a call by pressing a 'receive' button, even when sitting in its charging cradle, in order to proceed. Other than these minor issues, and being mindful of the bargain prices that they can be obtained on auction sites (having checked the item descriptions !) I can surely recommend the items as being truly 'fit for purpose' !!

A complete waste of money, very poorly made & very poor instruction manual.
I am so disappointed, I was three days trying to work out why one of the plugs with the blue ends would not fit and finally the blue end with the 'leg' that fitted into the charger broke. It was ever so different, it was 'central' of the blue end while the others were off centre. This is not mentioned in the instructions, the instructions are not at all clear as to what goes where without a "proper" description and picture. I had to get a gentleman in to connect the phones up and test them, I still have one charger not working due to not now having the plug and blue 'central' plastic plug due to it snapping off.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

nice phone good sound quality
i had researched a number of phones to replace my failing old panasonic cordless. i was concerned that so many phone reviews mentioned poor sound quality, i was anxious as my hearing is compromised in any event, but i needed to make a decision. this one had better than average feedback on sound quality so i decided to take a chance and if needed return it! however i am pleased with the sound quality, yes if you rub the handset whilst talking it also amplifies that sound but thats just an understandable outcome. the handsets feel a little lightweight and cheap but not seriously enough to not purchase, in my view. where it really wins is that when i enter contact details into 1 of the handsets it automatically copies it to the other handsets - with my previous panasonic i had to go through a laborious copy routine to each handset. for the money i think it is good value... i have had the phone in use for a couple of weeks now and am happy.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

All instructions were clear and was operational in moments. Would have been outstanding if the clips to connect the phone to the plug were more positive. Works really well.
I have the 4 handset version and I am extremely pleased with it. Having read a number of reviews that mentioned poor transmission and noise I was a bit concerned but purchased anyway. I have a period home with lots of thick walls and it's of a reasonable size with 4 reception rooms, so the intercom feature is important. All the handsets function well and I can make and receive calls with clear transmission. I think that siting the base station away from interference such as fluorescent lighting is essential. 4 phones is convenient
