Does what it says
Does exactly what it says. Deters cats in particular from my garden and stops them from fouling it. Have one of these that I purchased a few years ago in the front garden but now needed for the back garden. Some people with sensitive hearing may hear the tone emitted but the majority do not experience this. Ensure that they receive good light to maintain power. Excellent value and well worth buying. Yard Sentinel??
I bought this item to deter bulb stealing squirrels. It does everything it says on the box but doesn't deter squirrels. In fact they sit in front of it preening themselves. Whatever 'sounds' eminate from the device they don't scare squirrels. i have it operating on the mains adapter so no chance of flat batteries. I have been operating it for some months and have tried many different settings,despite it being a right pain in the backside removing and replacing the back panel,especially in cold weather when the plastic is very stiff. I have two other similar devices,all mains operated, none of them scare squirrels. I'm beginning to think they use the sound waves to dry their fur. Only one good thing I can say about the Sentinel is that I haven't seen next door cat since I fitted it. (Not seen any rabbits,deer of foxes either!) Effective so far
We purchased this item as we were plagued with cats in the garden, these cats were killing the wild birds we like to feed. The remote control is very handy for turning on and off when we vacate the garden. One drawback of the main box is that one needs to remove the awkward back cover for access to the full range of controls regarding sonic and ultrasonic settings which are not adjustable on the remote control.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Cats no longer visit !

Lots of loud Noise. (Scary Birds)
