easy peasy
Took 20 minutes to swap out, front of key pad clips open and panel holders just swings out, un-clip old unit clip in new, pull out ribbon cable and push in new ribbon cable and close up. Saved nearly £100 DIYing it myself.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Resolved issue of one key not working!!!

Replacement Veritas R8 keypad buttons.
My old keypad buttons were circa 2002. The numbers used over the last 16 years had worn off their identity, which would enable a burglar to easily work out the code. I ordered the replacement buttons. However it comes with a new PCB, much improved numbered buttons and a button shroud. The only issue I experienced was that layer, which has all the numbered buttons had an improved method of locating that layer to the base layer and had an additional 3 flexible pins. The base layer did not have holes to accommodate these pins. I drilled holes in the base layer. I used the PCB to align the drilling of the holes. It was relatively simple to do the modification. It is now all assembled and working well. I’m sure if you advised the supplier of the age of the original keypad buttons a direct replacement could be supplied.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

All as described... an easy DIY job.
Came promptly, and all as described. Only needed the key pad (numerals worn off my original) and spacer, but the membranes may be handy in the future. Mine is an older Veritas 8, so to make it fit, I needed to take off the tags from the back of the new key pad, and all the various plastic tags from the back of my casing. Easy to replace old one with this. Make sure you have the owners manual for the alarm handy. As you may get a Tampere fault when you try and Fit it. Make sure you turn power off to the alarm. Then it’s straight forward following the instructions. Saved £80 which I was quoted to replace the keypad. You can get copies of your alarm manual online. Good replacement part
Only part of the item needed to be used to replace worn numbers on buttons after 20 plus years. Not possible to comment on quality at this early stage, but it looks to be well made and after cutting off three small superfluous pips on the back of the soft rubber membrane, it fitted OK.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Nice product
Decided to use this product to replace a keypad with a button that stopped working as is a lot cheaper than a complete keypad as you'd expect, on first looking at it I thought that it may be difficult to get the wire ribbon into the connector and was put off but I took the plunge to try it and it is a piece of cake to swap over, worked very well, Just a word of warning commissioning , if your panel battery is low and should really be replaced it will not have enough power to auto detect the keypad, don't ask how I knowVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Easy to fit and works well
