Amazing Deal on Looks-like-new, Smoking Fast Xeon Processors; Great for Video or Scientific Computing
My processors arrived looking brand new - no scratches, no dings. I now have a 16 core Xeon + motherboard + RAM + PSU for less than the price of a fast i7. I followed the instructions here (search for "1155-affordable-dual-xeon-pc"). I did purchase 128GB of ECC RAM instead of 64GB of non-ECC RAM, which was a $200 premium. This fully populated the RAM slots on the motherboard, but also fully enables the 4X memory channels on each CPU. The machine is stable under memtest86, prime95, and with everyday usage under Windows 10. I do a lot of scientific computing and this is a big step up from my i7-3960k. Be warned that most (all?) of the dual socket motherboard that can hold these chips are server motherboards and require a larger than usual case: look for XL-ATX.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great product for video editing and rendering!
-Pros: 8 cores per one processor, helps a lot with rendering times. -Pros: The price, they are very cheap! -Cons: Coreclock is rather slow(2,6Ghz boosts upto 3Ghz on all eight cores),but thats nothing the seller can do about! -Cons: These processors are kind of old, but agen the seller can do nothing about it! -Cons: This model doesn't have vt-x working, but agen the seller can do nothing about it! Excellent power for the value!
Received this chip for an absolute bargain (less than $60 shipped), and it arrived pretty fast. Slapped it in my X79 Asus Rampage IV Gene motherboard and updated the BIOS, and it works like a champ! Did a few stress tests to make sure nothing was wrong, and I'm extremely satisfied. 8 core - 16 thread processor that competes head to head with the latest i7 series processors and outdoes them in a numerous about of benchmarks. Great Value CPU
Render performance in Revit has increased substantially over my i7-4820K, having effectively doubled the number of cores for only $100 on a CPU that cost $1,500 new.
