Mercedes Power Steering Fluid Reservoir.
The power steering fluid reservoir on the 1st generation Mercedes ML SUVs (W163) should be changed every 60,000 miles. Although made of tough plastic, because they are bolted to the engine block, they become "cooked" over time The result of this is that they become brittle and hose connections can fracture. Also the fluid filter contained within the reservoir either blocks, or becomes brittle and disintegrates. I chose this Febi Bilstein after market replacement as the company has a good reputation for quality products. At under £20 it has proved to be an excellent item and well up to the quality of the original Mercedes one. It has been accurately made and is a good fit. Verdict:An excellent quality item at a good price.
