BOSCH Quality at a competitive price
Replaced the existing VARTA battery in my 2008 Audi A6 3.0 Diesel Quattro due to it losing charge over a few days after a run. Selected a BOSCH S5013 as it had great reviews on various owner websites and was from a trusted manufacturer and supplier. Slightly smaller than VARTA alternative in length. Good value, worth the little extra expense for reliability.
A known and reputable brand. Bought to replace a previous identical battery that served it's purpose well. I use it in a '99 Jaguar XKR, a car known to be extremally sensitive to a poor battery and the last one gave 5 years good service. I suspect the only reason I had to replace it is because last year, the car only covered 400 miles because of the Covid lockdown and the battery was hardly used.
