Easy to use for my 80-year-old mother
I bought this for my 80-year-old mother. She was surprised to get it and seems to be enjoying it. It's easy to use. The sound is great. When she's reading, she can enlarge the screen. She likes the camera. She plays Solitaire and does crossword puzzles. it's fast. Memory storage is good for her use. Overall, a great tablet. But...I would give it a 4/5. In order to use Face Time, Skype, Messenger and other free apps, she would have to set up an Apple ID with credit card information and she didn't want to do that. 2nd one I have ordered. This ipad is very slow loading. The camera is fuzzy and snowy. Low quality. When scrolling, frames wiggle. For some reason, overall size is larger, also heavier than the 1st. First Ipad
I like the picture quality and and speed of Internet browsing. The battery life is great for my needs. The tablet is slightly a little weight to hold for hours but I rest it on my thighs. ipad 4 vs air
I returned the 4. I settled for an first generation air in about the same price range. The air had 32gb and additional power. However the 4 is no slouch as it is almost as fast and has commendable features. The battery length is more than adequate as is the screen resolution. The OS is feature laden and serves any anticipated need with millions of apps available. Capacity of the 16gb becomes a problem as updates increase in size and your library expands. iPad 4 is best
I love the iPad 4th Generation. I have had the iPad Air (5th Gen), and the iPad Air 2 (6th Gen).which are sleek, light weight and delicate. The 4th Gen is built sturdy and even 7 years on the battery life is still good, unlike my IPad Air battery that died after 18 months. Great Older iPad
A great iPad with Retina display. Video watching is excellent with the Retina display. Very easy to use all of the apps and features. Good speakers so music listening is good. Playing games such as Candy Crush Saga is good without any delays or hiccups. The bad this tablet is older so all games and apps run. a rad slower with minor glitches. Not enough to be annoying but it's there. Most noticeable is the email. Lots of hesitation when reading and checking emails. The Youtubw app runs slower at times and once a while gets annoying. I bought this iPad 4 to upload high res photographs to show to clients. This is the only purpose this iPad has to me, and the photographs look stunning! It runs slow though. I notice opening apps such as Safari and notes, both which I will use with clients, and it runs very slow. Not sure why--perhaps it because its an older version.
