Wide Angle Lens with Wide Aperture
I pair it with Sony A6000. I'm a beginner at best in photography. Great lens for events. Wide enough to fit in groups of people. Capable indoor and low-light performance. A bit heavy and big compared to other Sony E mount lenses. The lens is blocking the flash on Sony A6000 (only able when pointing the flash to the ceiling). Need alternative like Godox tt350s speedlight to compensate if needed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Really nice lens.
So recently I decided to up my game a little, upgraded from an a5100 to an a6400, now I'm still learning how to use the new camera, alot more options than before, but I felt it needed a nice fast lens to go with it, one that complimented the camera, and so after looking at this lens for about 6 months I decided to go for it, and it's great, fast and smooth and well worth it, add weather sealed to go with the a6400 and its a great match.

I love it, does what I needed it to.
I wanted a wider angle lens than my 50mm & here it is; 16mm of lush rich wide crispness. I can see this lens staying on my camera for a long time. Between it & my 50mm I have most of what I want to shoot covered. I spent a considerable amount of time coming to my decision to buy this lens, I believe that was time well spent as from the moment I looked through this new lens (yesterday) I knew I had got what I paid for & then some. I'm relatively new to photography, so perhaps I am simply overwhelmed by the quality available, as I spent most my life using point & shoot cameras... now I have an a6400 (SONY APS-C) & am slowly buying lenses, carefully too, as I want the best I can find at the best price as my budget is poor... this lens & my 50mmm are terrific. I'm a happy camper, I don't know that I can say more. The lens feels robust, nice look, & the focus ring is very smooth to use, the auto focus is quiet & responsive, not quite as fast as my SONY 50mm but I didn't buy it for the speed of focus, I bought it for the accuracy of focus; the image quality is excellent; that is why I bought it. My favorite lens for Sony APS-C cameras.
I use this lens on a A6500 body. The first thing that impressed me was how sharp this thing is. Compared to the 16-50mm kit lens, this is night and day. This lens coupled with the great A6500 sensor is also a low light beast with this F1.4 aperture. A bit of distortion and chromatic aberration wide-open but nothing that you can't fix in Lightroom. Autofocus is very quick and accurate (when compared to the 30mm F1.4 for example). So bottom-line: this lens is perfect on a A6500, would be better with stabilization for those who own a A6000 or A6300.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This lens produces beautiful portraits, and wide angle shots. I use it for a range of different pics, and even vlogging. It can produce a really nice bokeh, depth of field and the sharpness and colour is very nice and true compared to a kit lens.
