Feature-length anime continuing the story of a burgeoning pirate. Like many others before him, Monkey D. Luffy (voice of Mayumi Tanaka) is obsessed by the tale of the treasure hoard called One Piece reputedly buried by the Pirate King Gol D. Roger before his execution. Armed with only his irrepressible nature, Monkey sets out to become a pirate in the dangerous waters of the Grand Line - and it isn't long before he has his own crew of ruffians, a ship and a navy fleet on his trail as he searches for the treasure that will crown him the new king of the pirates. The legendary and evil Straw Hat Pirates have caused havoc across East Blue and some of the local villages including Luffy and his friends decide to head East to help out. However, a mysterious floating pirate ship appears captained by the one and only Golden Lion Shiki, the most infamous pirate of all time. He kidnaps one of Luffy's friends Nami and send the rest of them to a set of isolated islands. The crew must now find a way to fight the mysterious creatures that inhabit the area and escape to rescue Nami.
