Barbie's Dream House is NOT Just for Barbie Anymore . . . Make Room(s) for Monster High!!!
This dreamhouse is not just for Barbie anymore. It's the cutest little house and I gave up my Barbies years ago, but now I have Monster High dolls. So if you have Barbie or any of her younger siblings or friends, or any little 10-12" doll, this little dollhouse is the perfect gift for your dolls. I bought it on a whim when I was buying a lot of little toys and games for my Monster High dolls. But when I saw it I realized it was more than just a toy, it's actually worthy of being decorated and furnished. So what did I do? Of course I bought 1:144 scale furniture (it fits perfectly) and then bought a second dream house with a bunch of little 1:144 scale furniture kits. If you're capable of putting together tiny furniture kits (steady hands, good eye sight, a long skinny pair of tweezers) I suggest getting those first because my pre-made furniture, though beautiful works of art, are a little less satisfying and REALLY expensive. I love that the upper railing comes off so you can put furniture in that main upper large room - my master bedroom, and though the house comes with little stickers to make it look furnished, I still would recommend real furniture. Because my house is a dollhouse for a dollhouse I will arrange and then permanently affix the furniture so it can be moved around with ease. But for the price (approximately $10) I can imagine having several little houses, each furnished differently, Each house comes with a tiny Barbie character (so now I have two), but I found that the teeny tiny micro Polly Pocket dolls are also a nice fit for the house. Not an exact fit for the furniture, but again, this is just for decoration, but if you want to use it in a diorama with your other dolls playing with it, the little Polly Pocket dolls are a cute addition as well. Would I recommend this house? Absolutely! But wait until I buy a couple more because I don't want them to run out before I do. (J/K) :)
