Really good stuff
This is a reorder as this shampoo is the greatest thing since soap was invented. After two shampoos MG217, I feel the relief and healing.
After two shampoos, my scalp feels healthier with relief from itching and soreness. The shampoo has a light medicinal and tar order, though not offensive. I have NOT used a conditioner. The shampoo leaves my hair soft, smooth and manageable. Most tar base shampoos make my hair stiff, brittle and dry. I always knew this is the trade off for a healthy scalp. Not So. This shampoo is better than any other I've tried for stubborn psoriasis. It requires very,very small amount a lot of suds all over your head. The instructions read to leave on for a few minutes before rinsing. It has a strong medicinal scent, but is easily covered by using a crème rinse. This is the first product of its kind that actually works!!! I have had terrible dandruff problem. Did some searching and found, my problem has been all this time, premature scalp tissue reproduction. After reading the label on the MG 217, that it slows the reproduction, and I decided to give it a try, because it is the only one that says it slows reproduction, and it does just that! I am 79 years of age, and have had this problem most of my life, and tried everything, even what the dermatologist prescribed with no effect. This shampoo stopped my extreme scalp itching due to psoriasis after only 3 or 4 uses. Flakes seem to be gone as well. You must use as directed. So leave it on for several minutes! Works OK, Could be Stronger
US FDA allows 5-percent solution coal-tar in medicated shampoo. This is 3-percent solution so while it works well enough, it could be stronger. Due to the worldwide coal-tar shortage and due to coal-tar considered to be a caner causing agent, coal-tar shampoos are a more difficult item to be found. When found with sufficient strength to be beneficial, expect to pay a premium price.
