Compared to sennheiser cx40011, sounds similar, a little less bass, a bit more smooth midrange, similiar treble. A bargain .I ordered another!

Addition to my last review. These are better than the Sennheiser cx40011 precision, after a couple of hours running in. More base mere mid similiar treble. I have Sennheiser 580 full size openbacks, and do not feel the need to use them on the computer now, although on a amp I will. I have magneplanar speakers and Quad ESL57s as a reference. To preserve the cables which are the weak point in all connections, as wire eventually weakens and breaks, (take a look at how the telephone lines connect to the telegraph pole), put a small amount of tape at all the cable junctions wrapped tightly. A BARGAIN.

  • Most critical review

    underwhelming

From my experience using a couple of pairs of these: - higher eq range is lacking, making everything sound like you are standing outside of a club. It required additional Eq processing on my phone to get a reasonable sound out of them. - First pair broke in 1 week. No snags or other major incidents, but the connection at the jack is the weak point. - The trader that I purchased these from were quick to dispatch the item and I have no issues with them though.

  • THIS ITEM IS AMAZING

I bought this item because my other ones broke but I wasn't sure if I wanted them because they were so cheap and then I saw that they were from £10 that did persuade but not enough and then I saw the reviews and they said that they weren't very good but because they were so cheap I decided just to buy them and they came really quickly and are amazing. If I were you I would buy them and all on these other reviews are wrong they are the best earplugs I have ever bought so the point is if you want earplugs that work and are really cheap these are the ones you want.

  • Decent but buy many cause they WILL stop working!

The audio quality is acceptable for basic listening, (i.e. you are not an audiophile or daily listener-I use them to workout). The cable could be a little longer, it's OK but if you 're tall you might feel it could do with some slack when putting it into your trouser pocket. Definitely take advantage of the multi buy options, they will not last long, nothing's guaranteed in life but this virtually is! On average a pair lasts 2 months, sometimes I go through 3 pairs in 3/4 months. Occasionally a pair will surprise you and last longer! I Sometimes I cut the non-working side off and use a dual connector to combine 2 pairs (each with 1 side working) but that messes with the stereo image since usually it's the right ear that is working. I'd rather pay a cheap price every few months than a more expensive pair every few months since they tend to all malfunction the same way. I have headphones though that I have had for years and years in perfect working order, so it could be the price since those are higher end stuff. Or maybe it's a thing with earphones since they're smaller than headphones.

  • Lightweight In Ear Earphones

I've only used these In Ear metal noise earphones once, and found that they worked well. I noticed that they are supplied with spare rubber ear peices which I have not seen before, but is a useful feature.

  • Prime example that some Chinese manufacturers still don't do QA.

Yes, 3 pairs, only one works properly. If you are a gambling man, go for it. Does it sound (the one that works that is) almost as good as some of the cheaper SKullacandys and Sennheiser lineup? Hell no! Nobody would pay 10 times more for those if that was the case. So far (from what I could test) Skullacandy's Jibs are the best (from earphones in the 10pounds zone). I just don't like that they keep dying after just a couple of months. The bass on these is hefty but unnatural, mids and highs are indistinguishable and bland, and though you might be able to bring them up with a proper EQ, the fact that they are made of metal, and I hate to keep saying this, ruins the experience for good. Not only don't they care about sound and acoustics, which fair enough, they know it's rubbish so they invest in materials to make them look shinny. Basic cheapo-Chinese philosophy. Can you still use them? Yes, but I wouldn't recommend it. My quest of finding cheap but good sounding earphones is still at foot!

  • You get what you pay for

I got these on special offer so it was 3 for the price of 2 I think..... Sound quality is pretty good, no complaints there. Could be a bit smaller for my ears as they keep sliding out every now and then. And the 1st pair only lasted me about 2 weeks with daily use. Then the wire inside must have snapped, or nearly snapped. On the 2nd set now, see how long that'll take me....

  • Great sound quality but not durable

I first bought these earphones 4 years ago and I was amazed by the sound quality and durability. I got three pairs and each lasted me for almost a year! Then, once all of them died, I re-ordered three pairs. I noticed that the construction was a bit different and the sound as well but altogether the product seemed similar to the one I had earlier. Unfortunately, I realised that the durability has greatly decreased and I already went through three pairs in one year. It is still a decent product, but not as amazing as it used to be.

  • Not bad for the price

I like to keep a spare set and found these after looking at more expensive models. The sound was ok and they fitted fairly comfortably. I use mine in bed as I like to listen to audio play or music prior to sleeping. Because of this I found that one of the speakers stopped working after Around 3 months. Probably my fault as I keep them in most of the night and must turn a lot. Using them for normal listening they should last longer. If you don't want to pay a lot they are worth buying as a spare set.

  • A real bargin

I have bought two sets of these. Ones for work, and ones for the gym. The sound quality is great, and they can really handle the deeper basses. The cable could do with being a bit longer, and a bit more flexible. I found that whilst jogging on the machine, the cable was a bit too short and rigid, making a resonate 'bang' in the earphones each time it hit something. But that's only a 'niggle'. I would still easily recommend them though.
