Waste of Money
This is the second of these I’ve bought and both have failed. Thought I was unlucky first time but clearly there’s a flaw in it’s manufacture. You wouldn’t think it would be so difficult to listen to music from an iPhone 8s but after 15 minutes the music stopped to be replaced by buzzing and crackling noises. I couldn’t get more than a few minutes music after further efforts. Plus the sleeve came loose after pushing the jack in and out of the socket. Save your money. Failed technology from Apple, basic flaw
It may be a genuine Apple product. I don't know. But when you plug earphones in with a remote control on the wire - volume up & down, play, pause, etc. - these do not affect the iPhone properly when conncected via this cable adapter. You then plug the same earphones into the 3,5mm jack directly on the iPhone, and the inline control switch DOES work again. Why can't a cash rich company like Apple figure out the most basic stuff like this, when we supposedly took men to the moon and back in 1969 ? Not Compatible with Apple Products
This item did not work. A message on my phone indicated that the 'device' is 'not compatible with Apple products'. I suspect the cable resistance is too high or low and not within Apple specification. I have thrown mine in the bin.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Sadly a poor product
I bought two of these. Within the first day the wires had become completely detached from the cable and I was sent a new cable. The second one crackles stops working positionally. The one that I had replaced works intermittently. The company did send me a replacement, however this is also positional. Connectivity
The connectivity is poor always creates a bad buzzing sound when music is not playing. Trying to connect it to the Bluetooth for whatever reason dunno why it’s Bluetooth it takes me about 5 mins to get it working . Rather than a simple connect and go. Disappointed
I am not sure this was a genuine Apple product as the logo was nowhere to be seen in the box and Apple always display their logo. Bought to connect Sennheiser headphones to new iPhone but connection is patchy and sometimes Breaks down completely.
