Is it a fryer or an oven
First of all lets get to the good points. It uses a clear glass bowl that allows you to see what's cooking. it comes with an upper and lower stand, 2 wire baskets, a stand for the lid, and tongs. It cooks your food using a halogen lamp that is thermostatically controlled and a built in fan to circulate the heat, so yes it is an oven. it cooks chips and pretty much anything else as well without oil, turning half way through the cooking time is a must though. On the down side, I have found that using the top rack without the extender ring tends to burn the food, so when possible I found it best to use the lower rack. Putting foil in the bottom of the bowl saves a lot of cleaning up and it doesn't affect the cooking, foil trays also save mess. The bad points in my opinion are that the stand for the lid is probably not the best design and it is awkward to use, the other problem is that the main stand doesn't have anything on the feet to stop it sliding about on the worktop, which I found to my cost when it slid off and smashed, so now on my second bowl. The other thing that when I first got it was what I have since found out to be tongs, throw them away or make something useful out of them like hooks to lift the wire baskets out with, which will burn your fingers and arms trying to lift them out. It is better than the slide out drawer type and it is quite versatile and for the price it does a good job, but a bit of a re-design wouldn't go amiss. I tried it out yesterday
I chopped some potatoes up into the bottom silicone base then I put the chicken just above the potatoes so the juices from the chicken went onto the vegetables I used broccoli and cauliflower and it tastes beautiful it took less time to cook my dinner using this and it’s cheaper to use than the Microwave and oven you can even make bread 🍞 I shall try this weekVerified purchase: Yes
