Great modem that works with Xfinity plan
After being notified from Xfinity that my old modem didn't support the connection speeds offered for my plan, I purchased the Netgear CM1000 modem to take full advantage of the upgraded speeds. And after a quick call with Xfinity support to register the new device, I can happily report that my internet connection is indeed faster (up from 150mbps to 350mbps), and I haven't had any connectivity issues. Lame, it won't connect to a standard N600 LAN wifi router
PSA Totally lame as this modem will not connect to Netgear N600 wireless router even with the dedicated LAN wire connection. Of course because Netgear wants to make sure its products have planned obsolescence indeed. So had to purchase a new wireless router as well, did NOT buy a Netgear product specifically for this reason. And Netgear customer service pathetic, how difficult is it to answer a simple question referring to the CM1000 modem not being able to connect to the N600 router. The best modem currently available for fastest speeds
At this time there are only 2 Docsis 3.1 cable modems made with as many download and upload channels. That's the reason you get faster speeds even if you are not paying for the whole 9 yards of speed. This modem will be able to support Gig speeds once your ISP is delivering that level of service. Note - it is silly to have a cheap wireless router if you are getting this particular modem. You want to pair it with whatever high end Netgear wireless router that Netgear is making at the time you replace your router. Good value for a DOCSIS 3.0 modem!

Great product, but was time consuming to set up IF you followed the mobile instructions.
Phone setup did not go well at all, step by step procedures did not work at all, worked best by going through setup through website. Have always enjoyed netgear products, but never impressed by instructions or discription.
