Great minimum protection option.
I never take my iPad out of the house and most of the time even off my night stand. The case I was using before this weighed half of what my iPad Air 2 weighed. That is why I decided to go with the Smart Cover. It’s light, feels nice and adds just enough protection to make me feel like I’m at least trying a little. There’s no jamming your iPad into tight plastic ridges that end up breaking off or scratching your iPad after repeatedly taking the case off and on. It just sticks right on magnetically. Fine case, but does NOT fit 9.7in iPad Pro
This case is a fine product only for exactly what it says - 9.7in iPad and iPad Air 2. It does NOT fit a 9.7in iPad Pro. The part that attaches to the side does not fit in between the slots of the silicon case at covers the back of the device (if you have one attached). Plus, since the magnets on the front of the Pro are in a different place than on the other models, the cover does not close flat against the iPad, thus it does not put the device to sleep, or wake it up.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Lightweight with Great Features
Bought this cover to replace an old cover that had worn down and started falling apart. This cover is perfect. Is it really an apple product? Doubtful

Magnet won’t hold cover on
I’m so disappointed with this. My previous one lasted for many years, but this one is trash! The magnet that this is to attach to the iPad doesn’t hold, it falls off immediately. I don’t know if it’s the cover over the magnet, or the magnet itself buy it’s useless. I’ll just throw it away as it’s not worth the money or effort to try and send it back for a refund. Obviously this is defective merchandise, it came in a plain plastic type cover without any Apple insignia. Looks great. The magnets that keep it attached suck tho.
The cover looks great – as far as I know or can tell, it is equal to or is an Apple cover – but the magnets that keep it connected to the iPad are of low quality and constantly become disengaged.
