Did a great haircut even in amateur hands
With a bit of patience and careful methodical approach this trimmer has produced a really good homemade cut in these covid times. Good instructions for maintenance and usage. I would certainly recommend this for home use. Many people would not like it because it is standard AA battery use rather than plug in or rechargeble but with a 2 decent duracells it really does not matter My only criticism which would be worth the 5th star - For the amateur it would be good to have a description of each of the cutting attachments and what their use is.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A useful tool.
Thought this was a mains unit or at least a rechargeable one however sadly for the low price I expected too much and so it uses standard batteries. Using it is easy. The attachments can be a bit tough to install over the cutting plate but are easy to remove. The tool does the job much better than the included long hair trimmer on my main shaver which had broken off hence my need to purchase this item. Well worth the money. Would have spent a bit more if I'd known this one used standard batteries which aren't always on hand should you run the unit flat.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great for short hair!
I needed to cut my mother's short hair, which had grown. As the barber was closed. I needed to cut her hair. I bought this beard trimmer to trim her hair. It was easier to trim her hair on the longest setting, without making her hair a mess. Everyone was impressed with her hair cut. The only downsides were the trimmer had to be cleaned often during the hair cutting and the numbers on the guards were hard for me to see. Would recommend.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great little unit
Its a great tool for beard trim and re trimming the hair on the sides of my head while the barbers is shut .Whats more you put rechargeable batteries AA in it so no lead in the way and although the blade is only an inch and half wide it is more that capable of doing the job well ...Be aware that the blades are brittle make sure you use the guard when not in use and be cautious as a tooth can be knocked out if not.This is the same for all models as its the type of metal used to get the correct cutting edge sharp .Oil is also supplied and even a brush and blade must be kept clean and oiled.I would buy this product again and is EXCELLENT VALUE and a good firm to deal with who were the cheapest for this model.Great JOB and thanksVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

It's probably OK but maybe not for me.
I wanted to experiment in trimming my own beard and this seemed to fit the bill. The only problem is that it is not clear which guard to use. What I mean is that the (poor) small booklet says to select the guide but as the guides are not numbered and as I've never done it before, I wasn't sure which gave the longest or shortest cut. In the end I got my barber to trim the beard and the trimmer will be added to my other unused gadgets. Wahl Hair Trimmer.
This is a brilliant trimmer although slightly smaller than I expected. However I found the size just about right whenever I used it. It feels strong but fairly light to use. I bought this trimmer as I had a couple of Wahl products and they were excellent. It's handy to use and accordingly you can be accurate with it. It would be so easy to remove more than you wanted if the trimmer was heavier, wider and not as handy to use. I would recommend this trimmer for anyone who wants to trim their own hair.
