  • Quality! All in one!

Amazing camera and fits just right for my needs as a photographer who’s skill set varies across different styles. The compact zoom lens is a great size and weight and very convenient. Perfect for travel photography, macro, portraiture, action/sport (as a surf photographer this already proved to be great), for landscape and more! Very satisfied. The image quality is amazing, could compare it to my Leica X vario, and must say I’m impressed. 4K Filming served well with sports so far. There is an abundance of features that live up to the camera’s good reputation, and though I haven’t used them all yet as I’ve only had it for a week, I’m keen to experiment with each. Battery life is decent, especially in cold weather (usually my other digital cameras spaz out or die earlier but this one shows to be weather proof). In the rain too! (Believe me i live in England) Charges very fast, which is a big thumbs up for me. I could write more details but I haven’t yet used the camera to its full potential but can say it’s worth the money.

  • Expensive, but worth it

Rather than carry my Olympus OMD E5 outfit around all the time, I wanted an all purpose travel camera as a second camera. After reading the spec and various reviews, I decided on the Sony RX10 IV. I do a fair bit of safari photography, so a good telephoto lens is important, plus not having a very steady hand, I needed a camera to match my Olympus's superb image stabilisation system. The RX10 IV seemed to have all the spec I needed, including an amazing 24fps shooting speed and an excellent continuous focus tracking system (great for photographing moving animals) so I went to my local Sony store to have a look. First impressions were its quality construction, second impression was, it is heavy, especially compared to my Olympus, the Olympus being one of the lightest SLR's on the market, third impression was that it is a very comfortable camera to hold. I decided this was the camera for me and did the normal thing of looking for the best value and decided to buy from Kacha at a huge saving over the list price. I have had the camera a couple of weeks now and must admit, am very impressed, I can hand hold shots taken at the maximum zoom (600mm equivalent in 35mm terms), the menu is superb, customising the buttons is very easy and most importantly, the results are sharp and crisp. I did have a Panasonic FZ1000 before and was not happy with the edge sharpness and distortion on its widest angle (24mm) the Sony is excellent at all focal lengths, plus modes like high frame rate for slow motion, 4K movies etc makes this camera fairly future proof. As soon as we start getting some sunshine, I hope to get out and make a lot more use with the various functions, but first impressions are that I made the right decision by buying the RX10 IV.

  • A fantastic camera at a fantastic price tag.

This camera was rated the best by Amateur Photography for photographing wildlife. It s so easy to use, with an amazing zoom up to 600mm and over 300 focus points, and can take only 0.03 seconds to focus. Some people might find it seems heavy, but you get used to that. Regularly offered for sale in excess of £1500, so £1095 with free delivery is a real bargain.

  • A great all in one option.

Great camera if you are looking for an all in one product to photograph everything from wildlife, to landscape to everyday life. Good quality build. Comfortable to use. The colour and contrast is very good and the photos look nice and sharp with good tones. Nothing negative as it is just what I was looking for.

  • An excellent camera that stands the rest of time

One of the best camera purchases I have ever made, and I’ve bought a few in the past. Thai camera ticks all the boxes I need for excellent nature and sports photography. From macro to 25x optical telephoto and beyond digitally this really is a fantastic device. Light too and conveniently easy to carry than a DSLR equivalent with accompanying and costly lens. Highly recommended

  • Usual Sony quality

Had this camera to accompany my a9 and a600 mainly for travel and long range stuff. Incredible reach from this lens with excellent picture quality.

  • Very Good but expensive

Still early days to comment fully on this product, but so far everything seems to be very good, image quality is great and the zoom range is excellent, my only negative remarks would be on the limited amount of movement given by the rear monitor screen, why on earth did Sony not fit one similar to that on their Alpha77.

  • Love it!

I'm a complete beginner at photography and I'm very happy with the image quality and ease of use - just having the one lens makes it very convenient to take out and about.

  • Great camera

As a beginner I have a lot to learn. However, on taking a few shots I can see the quality images I can obtain.

  • Fantastic camera

Fantastic results from this camera - but I would recommend you buy a book dedicated to the camera to make full use of all the functions - there are many! I upgraded to the Mk4 from the Mk3 and don't regret it at all.
