This detector is sweet! If your thinking about buying it think no more! Buy it! It's got great range and with the filters it hardly ever goes off on interstate driving. Unless a cop is shooting radar. I've picked them up a couple miles away with hills and they were shooting the oncoming traffic!!! It's great can't say enough about it. Get them b4 there gone
Gps lockouts are great,when you drive the same places a lot. It will never go off at your local drug store again, Good filters for the newer cars with blind spot and other things.A lot less false K band when in heavy traffic, You can set a speed limit like less than 25 mph and it won`t go off at all when you are going under 25,good for when your going through a parking lot,like at the mall. If you can still find this model for sale, buy it, still a great product for the price.
Even though the DFR7 is discontinued and a couple of years out of date, its tech is still completely current and very usable for the average (speedy) driver. I was surprised how much advanced warning its sensitivity gives me, while filtering out a lot of the clutter. Also being able to "mark" the known false alarm areas, via the GPS, is golden. Buying this from the US at $260 CDN delivered, saved me around $200, over what they were selling for in Canada. I've owned several brands of RD's, starting with an Escort model #1 in the late 70's, and for the budget minded, the DFR7 can't be beat.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very nice radar detector
This is a very nice radar detector. The problem is is still detects other radars in trucks and other cars but as far as detecting State patrol you cannot ask for anything better is deftly long-range I know there's a state patrol there long before I get there... Good detector but need work
product works fine, hard to distinguish between false alerts and real signal. sometimes short range and trooper right on top if you when signal comes in. Average radar detector. have use escort 8500 for last 7 years, like night and and day. 8500 gives false signal but easy to distinguish between false and real. Works great just on flaw
