Ideal replacement
Had to replace an old one as it didn’t work on our new induction hob. This was a good choice, good depth of pan so shouldn’t boil dry, handle on lid is nice & large and easy to pick up.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not bad, but not perfect
On first inspection I was really impressed. The handle is sturdy & it seemed well made. However, first time in the dishwasher & the entire silver coating came off the pan. Worked fine on our ceramic hob, but due to the positioning of the steam vents & heat conducted to the individual pod handles, it's almost impossible not to burn your fingers! We bought a supermarket own brand one around 14 years ago for approx £5, & to be fair never had any of these issues. From the Poaching pan into the bin
Purchashed 11 Feb 2021...All was well for the first couple of uses then we noticed that the egg trays/cups were begining to peel and go rusty [see attached photo]....now it is unusable....the one I had back in the Seventies the egg tray was made of plastic and the cooked egg just slid out...sorry, but this is of very poor quality. The supplying company was very efficient but the goods have turned out to be rubbish, my advice is not to buy.!!!!

Non-stick Egg poacher
This is a good budget for egg poacher. The best bit is that the poaching cups and holder are metallic non-stick. The only weakness I can see is the handles on the egg cups are very thin and bend easily. Overall the nonstick makes it so much easier to clean.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Rubbish.i bought 2 one for myself the other a gift. No way would I insult someone giving this to anyone
A pre wash use of mine in the dishwasher saw a nice shiney silver pan go in but come out like something picked up in a scrap yard. A dull dirty looking mess. I think you will find dishwasher safe means it comes out as it went in.

Top induction kit
I’ve tried all manner of egg poacher from silicone pockets to side-hanger, in fact I’ve a drawer half full of them but all pale into insignificance in the face of this one. I cook on induction and because this is carbon steel it boils in under a minute (most pans now say they are “induction friendly” but some can take a long time to boil as they are not all steel). Because of the lid keeps the heat in eggs cook perfectly in 4 minutes (depending on the eggs size) so you have breakfast in 5 minutes with very little faffing. The non stick egg holders really are nonstick, remember to orientate them in to avoid burning fingers the eggs fall out with no prising, a little tap of butter and pepper in the bottom first helps and then the whole lot goes in the dishwasher. I have wasted money on egg poachers (so many) in the past and not of them put up much of a fight to STICKING. Although I had read the positive reviews I was not really expecting this purchase to be any better than the others.WOW ! I can now enjoy my poached eggs on toast now without spending a huge amount of time trying to get the residue off the cups without scratching them.
