Great Bluetooth transmitter!
I bought this transmitter/receiver specifically to use with my bedroom TV. My old Accoustic Research unit kept cutting out every few seconds and I was frustrated with it. As I have a sound bar already connected using the rca connections, I was looking for a unit that offered the TOSLINK connection. These units cost a bit more but the principle is still the same. I am not an audiophile but the Insignia bluetooth headphones paired with the TaoTronics transmitter instantly and they sound wonderful. This unit is so small and compact. It can easily be attached to the back of the TV and left out of sight there. For the price I paid this was a great buy and I am so very happy that I went with it. It works well, but has some minor hiccups
This bluetooth transmitter/receiver works about as expected. It has some quirks, but that is to be expected at this price. For instance, the signal sometimes will cut out for one second, even within 10 feet. It sometimes will not reset when headphones are disconnected, requiring manual resetting. These are minor annoyances. The important thing is that it works, and works reliably. A more expensive unit would probably reduce or eliminate the quirks I've mentioned. With such a small internal antenna, some occasional signal interference is to be expected. I have this plugged into my Roku TV. It's paired with bluetooth earbuds. I wasn't quite satisfied with the Remote Listening feature of the Roku app, and wanted a more direct wireless way of listening to TV at night. I find the transmitter and earbuds to be a more reliable system than the Roku app. Plus I can walk to the fridge or check food on the stove without having to carry my phone with me. This little box is great!
I purchased this so I could use Bose Bluetooth headphones with my Vizeo 60" HD LED TV. Connecting it was very easy and it easily paired up with the headphones on the first attempt. The sound is phenomenal and the range is very good. I walked throughout my entire home even the basement without losing the signal. I'm using the supplied optical cable for true digital sound and it works perfectly even while watching Netflix movies with Dolby 5.1. Great way to watch TV with a blue tooth head set
I've looked at those old / other style TV headsets, however I did not like the look or quality of the product. I wanted something that I could count to via Bluetooth. Well now there is and it works great. very easy to use if you read the instructions on both the headset and transmitter. Great little device
This device provides a bluetooth connection to my smart TV. Connected to the Digital audio out (Toslink) port I can now use bluetooth earphones to listen to the TV. Connection was simple using a Toslink cable. One button provides an on/off switch as well as a means of pairing the device. Once paired the TaoTronics device remembers my earphones for future connection. I have only used the deice as a transmitter, but it will act as a receiver as well. Works good
Works as advertised. There is still a very little bit of lag time in the sound. Not noticeable when watching a video. The problem is when i tried to use it in a surround sound setting by using the tv speaker with my bluetooth speakers. The bluetooth speakers are slightly behind the tv speakers. They arent in sync. This was recommended to me by a video store. I wanted a optical system for quality. The instruction manual is not as detailed as needed for set up (like needing to take off rubber tips of optical wire ends and which was is up or down) and pairing(which setting do you set it for, RX or TX, and why. I messed around with it for a long time and finally called Apple support, CRAZY. Does your reciever need to be on?) Little things but causes frustration. Unit is small and works as advertised.
This TT unit (BA09) is smaller than I expected. I did read the brief manual that came with it and all functions seem to work as described. I have not connected two headsets to the device yet, but intend to do so. Sound and video (lip-synch) for one connected headset appears to function well with no latency. Wow.... its sound quality is excellent. I was converting my digital audio out to analog headphone for my previous bluetooth transmitter. It took to many devices to finally reach my headphones . Poor sound quality. And an annoying lag which luckily i can adjust out. So my bluetooth. headphones did work. But now the sound is great and no lag to deal with.
