  • Great SSD for its price.

This is already a third time I am buying this SSD, very high quality, speed and reliability. If you are looking for a great SSD, this is definitely the one to get. I use two of three as a primary driver for the operating system in my custom made PCs and the other one as windows to go. Because there is no need of external enclosed as the drive is already right enough I just had to get an adapter from SATA to USB 3. Works excellent and because SSD's are made for constant data stream as I expected they are long-lasting. One has already outlived one of my new(bought 3 years ago) hard drive. One great thing is that even if the SSD fails you still can get the data of it as it prevents you from writing to it all the while allows reading.

  • cheap price explained

hello, so i found out why this model is so cheap. it does not have a DRAM cache. this is a cost saving measure which costs some performance and longevity. it is also 3d NAND which is cheaper for manufacturer but doesn't cost performance or longevity. so it's the cheapest possible SSD type to produce and that is why it's the cheapest to buy. having said that, it has worked flawlessly and quickly so far. it is not noticeably slower than my ocz agility 3 which i believe is also DRAM-less (but has worked flawlessly and speedily for me for 8 years ish so far) so i would strongly recommend this drive because the price/performance ratio is extremely high. it's not the fastest but even a slow SSD is extremely fast compared to a HDD. for most users, it's beyond sufficient. it does not come with a SATA cable, FYI

  • A Must Have Replacement for Ageing HDDs

This is the second Kingston SSD that I have bought, one to replace a HDD in my Desktop PC and one for my Lenovo laptop. Whereas before, Windows 10 would take at least 8 (!) minutes to boot, now both boot in under 30 seconds. Also, no HDD clicking and whirring noises, SSDs are silent. For under £30 each, it's a no brainer! OK, at 240GB on each drive, there is less internal storage than I had before, but good quality USB drives have solved that issue. Time will tell how reliable they are, but so far they're great.

  • Good Value for money, fast drive for the price.

Great Product, works well, and it is fast. You need to initialize the drive in Disc management first before you can use it. I buy many of these now for refurbs, customers, upgrades and they have all been reliable.

  • Kingston 240 gb ssd drive

I have a old 2014 laptop running win10, that took nearly 4 min from boot to using it. I changed the old 2.5 sata hdd 250 gb, to a 240gb Kingston ssd drive and the speed is unbelievable, now from boot to start its less than 10 seconds. I was going to purchase a new laptop but just spending £26 on this Kingston ssd drive as given it a new lease of life. I’m quite happy with this laptop and saved me 4 or 5 hundred pounds buying a new laptop I would recommend you swop your old sata hhd drive to a new Kingston ssd to anyone with a slow laptop or slow boot up time. Transfer of os and all my files was straight forward with the right transfer leads.

  • Fantastic hard drive

I replaced my old Apple hdd with a kingston ssd drive, what a difference, bolted straight in with very little work! I was up & running in no time at all! I was quoted £140 for this repair, but did it all myself for £30! I'm no computer wiz kid, so with a little research (utube) it easy!! Excellent

  • Perfect Upgrade for older computers

This SSD is a perfect replacement for older PCs/Macs which are fitted with the slower Hard Disk Drives. Ideal for Windows 7 and Motherboards/Logic Boards fitted with internal SATA-II ports My Windows 7 PC now boots up in 20 seconds following installation. Definitely money well spent.

  • Fast, low cost, brilliant SSD.

Huge difference switching from my HDD to the Kingston 240GB SSD. I have been using it for a few days and my boot-up time has reduced from around 4 minutes to around 20 seconds.
