    Full features - good sound

Great radio. Pleasantly surprised to find that it will charge rechargeable AAx4 in situ. To be honest, the bass sound isn't quite as good as my old Sandstrom of a similar design but it's pretty good. It was way better than cheaper ones demonstrated at my local electrical store (you know the one). It picks up digital signal along and FM as good as my old radio. Tuning can be automatic or by turning the tuning knob which makes it possible to get a specific frequency. Presets are easy to set up and select. 5 each on Digital and FM. It has more features than I will use but therefore won't disappoint anyone. Switching between digital, FM can be fiddly for some people as you have to scroll through all the modes. Quite pricey but good if you're after something of better quality. Mine was reconditioned, although you'd never know, from eBay.

  • Most critical review

Excellent portable DAB/FM radio with only 1 small flaw.

Its a small and easily portable radio with a good carrying strap and great DAB reception as well as very good sound quality for something so small. Lots of features and easy to navigate menu. A bright screen with all the usual info/selections. also connects to a music source via bluetooth and Aux In. the controls are 2 rotary jog wheel with push down functions and a set of buttons also on the top for presets &menu. There is one other button for starting/stopping the alarm function and it is the only flaw in the design.Because, like the other buttons it can be pressed by accident, and then it will either start up when I don't want or kill a previously set alarm. Only that small thing to be alert to though - otherwise 100% great.

  • Roberts Bluetune clock radio

The sound is modest and good, coming from front, but has no adjustment for pitch so can't step up high tones. It's neat and small footprint Ideal for a bedside table, giving a decent easy read clockface above a front speaker, also nice to reduce brightness at night very fast by R tab. By far the best bedside radio made by Roberts, but needs settings separate knob so easier to use and more comprehensive than current version

  • Excellent versatile radio

Pros; - Can use for listening to radio, or play back my music collection via USB (You can easily get USB sticks that fit flush to the back on the unit and hold 64GB or more) - Can be run from the mains or batteries - I have used IKEA rechargeable AAs, though yet to fully test the battery life - Looks very smart - UI is easy to navigate using buttons/dial Cons (minor); - Audio quality is good but not great - though roughly what you would expect from a portable radio. You can use the headphone jack to connect external speakers if you would like more oomph.

  • Modern , compact great sound

It’s compact . Sound quality is excellent. Once you’ve worked out how to preset the stations , you can relax. Easy to turn on and off and a night clock which is useful . Pleasant design but you need the operation instructions until you get tge hang of it 😉

  • excellent machine whose faults (on my machine anyway) make it problematic

I might have been sold a faulty machine. The sound on radio4 is very good but I has no been possiblest;e to change stations. Channel 4 happens to be one of the few stations worth listening to the machine is very well built,-to the highest standard AFTER MANY ATTEMPTS THIS IS THE MOST DIFFICULT RADIO THAT IHAVE SO FAR ENCOUNTERED. pity! because once a channel is found the sound is good.I have to conclude that this is not a faulty machine…just an average user who cannot come to grips with the complicated control system.

  • Neat

A great bedside radio I like the ease-of-use and the choice of digital or analog time display. It can be dimmed so no glare at night. The sleep timer is easy to use. Easily connect to my smart phone via Bluetooth so that I can listen to podcasts . A great little package

  • Good deal and very happy

I got an excellent deal new returned stock at £50. I think if I had paid the full price I would have been a little disappointed but it depends on how high you set your expectations. For £59 it’s very good.

  • Super little DAB+ portable radio

Excellent little radio, just what I needed for listening outdoors. Great sound from this relatively small speaker but if you plug in an external powered speaker such as a Bose soundlink II or mini then you can fill a room with sound. Reception is very good too even in some poor areas ( I live in one) I like the choice of being able to use rechargable batteries ( and the ability to recharge them) in addition to Alkaline batteries or Mains power So far I have not found any negative points

  • Great DAB carry around radio.

Really neat and attractive looking radio. Very easy to set up and use. Plug in and the radio does it's own thing setting up your DAB station. Easy to follow instructions then to set presets. FM tuning you do yourself. Sounds great and we've encountered no interference which we've had with some of our radios. The USB set up is also easy and simple to use. All in all a great radio to take anywhere with plug ins and bluetooth. Only very, very minor con is the inability to set up the sound (bass and treble) to your own preference but that said it sound great anyway.
