An Ideal Mains Alarm Clock
I thought nothing would be as good as my old, dead, LED alarm. I was wrong. Setting the time or the alarm is easy: just hold in the Time or Alarm button and use the left-hand-end of the top bar to set the hours and the right-hand-end to set the minutes. The settings are protected from mains failure by two backup AAA batteries (not supplied). The bar along the top acts as a light when the alarm is not sounding. Push it and there is just enough light to walk across the room or find the bedside light switch. Push it again and the light goes out. The alarm can be set to quiet or loud and the display is continuously variable from bright to dark. The alarm can be set or disabled at the touch of a button. When the alarm sounds, the centre of the bar along the top acts as a 'Snooze' button and the alarm sounds again in about 9 minutes. Press either end and the alarm is reset and will not sound again until the next day. The digits are huge and easy to read. Glasses not required! I struggle to find any way in which this is not an ideal, mains, alarm clock.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

It performs perfectly. It needs no attention from me. The display may be a bit too large for a bedside clock but I keep mine on a cabinet about 5 feet away from the bed. It is not one of these "all singing - all dancing" gadgets, that promise everything, but deliver nothing. It's a clock that I can see in the dark and that gets me up in the morning.
