Easy to see on the bench and in the tool-bag.
I try to always keep an edge guard on my chisels, but they do get lost - & I know I have vacuumed one or two and over the years lost a few. I have looked for replacements but not ben able to find any until these. They are great on most chisels, but don't fit some heavier than average blades. It would be good to find some heavy duty blade guards, preferably made with a softer plastic. For now all my 'tool bag' chisels have their hats on and the blue colour makes the easy to see on the bench & in the tool bag!.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not fit for purpose
Sadly the plastic these caps are made from is hard and inflexible so they don't stay on the chisel ends. They need to be soft and pliable to stay in place. My previous caps were by Marples and lasted over 30 years. I haven't asked for a refund as they didnt cost much. I should have checked the make before ordering as, if I had noticed they were Silverline, I would not have ordered.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great for what you pay.
They are cheaply made but fit well apart from the 6mm one, that needs a bit of squeeze before using. I have my chisels mounted on the wall above the bench and could see it was only a matter of time before the trip to hospital, these are cheap insurance.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Essential for my older chisels.
I have several older chisels that were without edge protectors ... These edge guards are perfect to not only prevent cutting oneself but also to protect and preserve the chisels honed edges. Unfortunately I also needed one of these for my 2" chisel ... The set only goes up to 38mm and I needed 51mm (2"), so I made one from two of the protectors in this set ... I measured out the correct size to be made up from two of the spares and fitted them onto the 2" chisel ... I then put several wraps of masking tape round the two parts then I put more wraps with black insulating tape ... The result is not very pretty but it is a perfectly fitted, made to measure, edge guard for my 2" chisel ... I am really happy with the result ... If you take more care than I did, you will be able to get a better-looking edge-guard than this.

Cheap and cheerful
These chisel covers are a blessing. It is all too easy to lose chisel end caps and having got to the point where I had none left on my site chisels (I am a site carpenter) my case if chisels was somewhat hazardous. My only gripe is that there is not a 3/4" cap.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Chisel gaurds
These are virtually identical to the black 'trend' chisel gaurd products which it must be said are well overpriced and a rip off at about 8 quid a pack ...so do yourself a favour and have these similar ones by silver line in blue colour for about 2 or 3 quid ... very fairly priced.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Chisel guards
This is a good product and protects wood chisels well. I purchased 36 to protect my collection of chisels. Note however, there is no guard in the pack for 2 inch chisels. Ideal
Ideal to lurk in the toolbag for the inevitable disappearance of original blade guards. Cheap as chips and far better than a gashed hand or wasted time grinding and honing a damaged edge. They fit fine on my old and well used chisels and adequately do the job they are meant to do. At this price it is crazy not to have these ready and waiting.
