PERFECT Phone! Almost...
-This 6" phone is HUGE! -It's fast. -Takes a 200GB micro SD card (maybe even a 256GB, but I haven't tried) -It has Qualcomm Quick Charge (USB2.0). -Pretty Decent Camera (16mp) -The Battery, OMG The Battery... 4080mAh! Many great things to say about this phone. 2 things I don't like about it: 1st - STUPID ZTE still won't let you root it. ( I know I know, this is a deal breaker for many). Quit a bit if bloat ware. 2nd - The Miracast - Now I've only tried the Microsoft WIDI V2, but it was simply HORRIBLE, while on other phones it worked wonderful. There may be a specific brand of WIDI that works well with the z982 but I don't know which yet. Memory allocation & management issues: Yes, it used to dump your memory & restart apps but the new update has fixed that. Hey, maybe my Miracast issue is fixed as well, I'll have to test it. The Screen is too brittle.
The screen is too brittle, mine fell out of my pocket twice but the outer casing protected the screen just fine but, when the screen was facing my body in my pocket I sat down and the screen spiderweb cracked in the top left corner from a very small crack in the middle right side. Tldr the outer cover is very impact safe but the screen is too brittle.

Simple but fantastic at the same time!

Good Value with great features!
First of all I am a big fan of Samsung Galaxy S series. I am quite amazed by the quality of this phone compared to its price. Camera is great, battery life is better. Large screen size helps me to read better and its resolution is great! I don't understand why branded phones are super expensive when they can produce them with cheaper price like this one. Larger phone is perfect size for making calls but also for enjoying the benefits of wifi. Phone is able to be used as a mini tablet. Very reliable. This is my 3rd ZTE Zmax in about 5 years. Purchased Samsung Galaxy which was a total disappointment and never worked correctly. After 2 months I decided that I needed a phone that actually worked. Purchased Z982 and have been happy since that day. No technical issues, no freezes, easy setup, no proprietary preinstalled programming that you have to struggle to delete. Good upgrade from the zte zmax pro
I upgraded from the zte zmax pro. Both the phones are very similar. They both have 6 inch screen size. I think this blade z has a more vibrant screen. Great camera! But very basic phone...
This phone is big and has nice features such as the dual camera and finger print scanner... But the cons is that it is very basic, not many customizable features, such as no home screen loop, can't change the font, can't move your Google search bar, etc. But for the price it is a fairly decent phone!
