Stereo redundant 😢
Hi the amazon echo plus is fantastic we luv it I’ve just recently became an amazon gadget freak lol I’ve got a dot,a spot an echo 2nd gen, and now I’ve just purchased The 2 echo plus and sub woofer for the stereo pairing. And yes it is fantastic which once all set up ( which is not a problem) These echo pluses have made my stereo redundant which is now packed away in a box 😢 and I also l loved my stereo, but as a amazon music subscriber why would I want to play cds when I have over 40 million hits to choose from and to just ask Alexa wether it’s a single album or playlist I have created , so yes it’s all fantastic and worth every penny 👍 I think once you have herd the sound from these amazon echo pluses you will not be disappointed 👌 Hope this helps Eddie j

This is like a hobby that will last for years, whilst you modify your home to suit it.
I was inquisitive about the new internet of things and smart equipment. The "Alexa" app is a step in that direction. It has a lot of potential for the future, but as yet there are too many things like light switches that need replacing for it to be a convenient system. Most of the replacement switches are bulky and existing switch housings shallow so changing involves lots of electrical work. Okay for the electricians but expensive for householders. (Yes I know there are adapters for light sockets but they are bulky and don't look right!) Smart socket adapters for the mains outlets are a good thing as portable appliances can be operated by voice so there are ups and downs. With anything like this, it is good to be aware but until houses are built from scratch to accept smart equipment, it will be a long uphill struggle to adapt everything in a current home.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Good but not perfect

Find this really good IF you have prime or amazon music. We will be having one in every room . Not that good if no amazon prime or music can play radio stations ect. Good as an alarm clock or reminder weather forcasts . News and more. Dont think i would have it myself without the prime. Easy to set up . it controls all my heating ( Hive) and all my lights . Also voice controls my Tv's AV equipment blu ray , x-box etc . Not come across any problems so far ( i daresay maybe in the future ) Must admit it is far better than Googles offering , offering more apps and voice controls . The speaker/s are excellent , so good that i actually subscribed to Amazon music . I have one in living room , one in lounge and awaiting a dot 3 ( free with British gas/electic hive installation) .
