One of the downsides of working with an original SNES console is that its original design is not compatible with many HD televisions. The SNES Classic Mini comes with HDMI hookups, bringing you the retro games you love in gorgeous clarity. Each console comes with two wired, classic controllers with the same look and feel that you remember. Additionally, if you downloaded SNES titles to your Nintendo Wii or Wii U, you can connect these controllers and play them the way you remember playing them. Mini version of my childhood
Great product and I had originally taken a great deal of time to write an outstanding positive review of it. Unfortunately, eBay's deeply flawed text screening, which sees profanity where there are none (as warnings pop up while I'm writing, robotically placing together end and beginning of perfectly innocent words to form a profanity out of thin air), prevented me from doing so, without informing me which particular words were the problem, which would have been none to any normal human being. I found that many of my reviews suffered the same fate and were in limbo this whole time due to their pathetic bot text screening. I'm not even sure if this text will be approved, as I'm not a bot, therefore, can't think like one. In conclusion, excellent product and highly recommended, too bad I cannot elaborate on it to aid you, a potential customer to know why thanks to eBay's incompetence.

The games are NOT in English!
All these preloaded games are in JAPANESE. This isn’t mentioned anywhere in the listing. You can change the language settings but that only changes the menu, the games remain in Japanese. Bags of Fun!
For anyone who remembers the SNES then this is hours, days, weeks of time you're going to spend replaying your favourite games. I bought this for my sister, as she loves the Mario games. The console is the Japanese version but if you look into "Hakchi" then you'll understand how it's now fully in English with over 250 games working. I have stuck to SNES titles, but with emulators you can even install other platform games (with varying degrees of success). There's also a cool mod using a USB OTG adaptor that allows you to boot from a USB drive (as the internal memory is very limited) and then the possibilities are limited only by what it can run. If you want a multi-platform emulator though, you're probably much better off with the Raspberry Pi option. Honestly, you won't regret buying one of these.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

After bidding on a few of these consoles and losing I was pleased to have waited for this one. Immaculate condition, exactly as advertised and with some extra games loaded on for good measure, excellent value. Can’t wait to give to my son at Christmas, he will love it with easy to play games that bring back memories of yesteryear for me. Really simple to use and navigate the menus complete with a save mode to re start games at any point which is a great addition to this miniaturised blast from the past. love the way this reproduces the old games exactly as they were
I bought this box of 30 games because I just wanted to play one of them (Contra 3). I cant live my life without that game (sad I know). I love the way that this box is a perfect replica of the old games that I remember. If you are looking for a modern box of hi tech / super graphic games you will be disapionted. However, if you are like me and just want your old crappy games back again in a modern format. Great Console.
This is the Japanese version. The menu and UI text is in Japanese language. Simple mod from online will change that to English. Very rare item in the UK at the moment, I paid £76 cheaper then the high street. Brings back some memories from back in the days of gaming. The classic games still bring joy meant to me.m and considering I never actually owned a SNES this is a great consolation. For people who want retro gaming this is a must for any collector or nostalgic player. Comes with 2 controllers so you and a friend could enjoy some classic battles on Street fighter I would highly recommend this for even Sega lovers.

Old school gaming brought back to life
Extremely impressed with this! I grew up with the SNES so for me this was a great blast from the past. Some of the games are not as great but I put that down to never having really played them before so they lose that nostalgia gold. Having gems like SMW and Link to the Past more than pay their own for the whole thing.
