Very worthwhile book to own.
Fascinating and informative book for anyone interested in the stories of mythology. Since so much of Western humanity's psychology and our literature have their roots in mythology, it is well worth understanding the stories and characters involved. In truth, I consider it a reference book. We have an old paperback edition of this book which has lovely illustrations. This 75th anniversary illustrated edition does have colour plates but I don't find them as detailed or compelling as those in our older edition.
