Best value in a Refurb around!

This camera gets a lot of pushback for minor reasons, however it is lightweight, has excellent image quality and is a great companion to my D4S. I have tried most of the other brands including Sony, Olympus, Panasonic, Canon, Pentax, Fuji, and after having started with Nikon DSLRs, I came back for the image quality, easy to use menu system, and versatility of my lens stable. The problem I had using different brands concurrently is that the menus are vastly different and it was difficult to keep all of the settings and buttons straight when picking up a different camera for a shoot. Using all Nikon keeps everything the same and muscle memory makes ajdustments quick and easy. I have always enjoyed the rear flip screen and the D7500 has a solid bracket which adds insurance for me. I once paid nearly $300 to have one replaced on another brand that was less robust. I previously bought into the hype that the smaller, mirrorless cameras were the way to go, and having spent thousands of dollars trying them all, this 68yo man will keep packing the DSLRs and enjoying my hobby.

Okay if you don’t mind gray market products

I was concerned when I opened the box and there was no warranty or owner’s manual (as listed on the box). Upon further research I found out I had purchased a gray market camera. For experienced professionals this may not be an issue but for me, a novice trying to upgrade my equipment to semi-professional status, I would feel more comfortable having a product that I know Nikon USA would warranty and work on without any issues.

  • Great Camera for the price!

I was looking to upgrade from my bridge and mirrorless cameras, to a new 4K bridge camera. best option was the Sony RX10iv, but for the less than that, I could afford a camera with an APS-C sensor instead of a 1", with many many features and more professional appearance. I completed the body with a Tamron 16-300 which is more than enough to avoid carrying many lenses on my trips. The only con at this point is that even with a light lens, still is too heavy for a hiking and trip camera, lets see if I get used to it.

  • Nice Upgrade from my older Nikon D7100

Love the higher ISO capability to shoot in lower light, as well as the faster processor. The adjustable touch screen is very nice also. The 7500 retains the best features of the 7xxx series, including a built in flash, intuitive interface, and a lightweight body. Overall the best crop sensor camera that I've used.

  • Nikon D7500 - Great Travel / Wildlife camera.

The reason I did not buy the D500 was the weight and size. This 7500 was the perfect size and weight for a travel and wildlife camera. No it does not work with old AI lenes, but who cares. Not going to use thoes lenes for fast pace action anyways. Yes, it only has one card slot - Again who cares - unless your shooting weddings ( and I have full frame gear for that ) I don't see what the big deal is. This camera opens up a ton of lens options for a fair price. Unlike my Sony gear.

  • A big upgrade from my previous Nikon

Upgraded from a D5100. The viewfinder feels more natural to use. The improved ISO settings are very helpful, as is the increased image size. Many awesome features.

  • Learn it, use it, and be impressed!

This is a major step up from what I was using (Nikon d50) and does come with a fairly steep learning curve. I am greatly impressed with the video quality, and the low light capability of the camera. I would say that if you haven't used a recent Nikon, you need to spend quite a bit of time learning the capabilities of this camera. That is the only way to really justify owning it. I still have a ways to go, but I am very pleased so far. From the first shot, I could see the d7500 was going to be my camera of choice for a long time to come.

  • True value for money

The d7500 has a relatively current sensor and processor which gives you amazing images. The body is consumer grade with one card slot. But that does not matter to me. As long as it functions smoothly in the field and produces stunning images, I'm a fan.

  • Great Image Quality, D7500 Checks all the Boxes for Me

Nikon D3300 was my first DSLR. Which is a very good camera. I have been very happy with it but I wanted to upgrade. After a lot of research I decided on the D7500. I was also looking at the Z50 and D500. I'm retired, and at this stage of my life I didn't feel the need to switch to mirrorless. As for the D500, it looks like a great camera but I couldn't justify the cost. Like I said I'm retired, this is a relatively new hobby for me (5 years). Hope to do some travel, shoot some wildlife and landscapes. So far the D7500 has exceeded all of my expectations. The auto focus is excellent, very fast and quiet. It is also better in low light, ability to shoot at higher ISOs is better than the D3300. I'm still in the learning process, many more options to learn and settings to try. For me the D7500 is a great choice for the money spent, and IMO a big upgrade. The pics were shot with a Tamron 100-400. The pics have NOT been edited, only cropped.
