Sexiest phone ever made
Screen and display The screen is beautiful and makes it look like this beast dropped from phone heaven. The inifinity display is something else. Did I mention how beautiful the screen was and how the edges make it impossible to determine where the screen starts and finishes? It would be better to have a more responsive status bar though. The home and lock screen themes options are very good where the display becomes very. 4k video looks beautiful on this screen but to appreciate it you need to actually turn 4k resolution on - this will ultimately cost more battery juice per hour. Midnight black is the blackest phone I have ever seen, but orchid gray with its ever changing tone is also very beautiful and it was a tough call for me to have to decide between them. 5.8 inches seems intimidatingly big, but the display takes up so much of the screen that the phone is actually the same width as my s6( with a size of 5.1 inches). Thus, I would actually prefer to purchase the s8+ as I think an even bigger screen would serve me better. Camera and storage The camera quality is very good and I am pleased at being able to expand the storage by 256 gb. The one criticism about the proximity of the camera lens with the fingerprint scanner is that there's a high chance you will smudge the lens. The back of the phone is also very prone to smudging. Battery life and speed I would have thought that with all the this technical firepower Samsung have I have noticed that the battery life is very good despite having less mA then the s7. The speed of the phone is no different to what you would expect from any Flagship phone. S7 vs S8 If you were in my position where you were looking to upgrade from the s6 the reason why i went with the s8 is that brand new, it is only about £80 more than the s7 and most places charges £30+ for a contract with s7. Not bad
The mobile is very nice and functions very well apart from the following: It takes long time to charge!! I am not sure if all new samsubg s8 are like this or just my mobile. If the mobile battery is about 15%, it will need about an hour and half to charge though it shows "fast charging"!! Difficult to drop down screen notifications. Screen width is also a bit small. Great Phone
I bought this to replace an ailing samsung S5 .. the screen is less wide than the S5 but turning to landscape gives a good full screen. I am not a gamer but have found the phone to be quick at loading and in its operation. I love the large onboard memory which should last me for a while. I have it protected in a case, and I had to purchase a USB C cable as one was not supplied, I hadnt realised they had changed from the earlier micro usb.. but not a problem I purchased 2 long cables which suit my needs. the S8 suits my needs upto now and look forward to many years with it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

A nice mid-sze phone
Just the right size for me and the quality is good as you would expect from the S Series. I've moved from a Windows 10 phone to Android and expected some problems with the Google software and I was not disappointed. Email setup with Gmail was a joke so I gave up and downloaded Microsoft Outlook and all my email accounts worked first time. A lot of the Samsung/Android setup was complex as both Samsung and Google try to get you tied in and want lots of info; I've avoided some of that nonsense. So, a nice phone and I can at last use Whats App, Uber and so on but Android is far from perfect. Battery life seems to be average currently. Bought this for my wife she had a S4 mini and fancied something larger. The S8 fitted the bill great (edge) display larger format though not too big. She finds the phone easier to use probably because of the larger screen and she is used to android. The camera is a vast improvement really noticeable the same goes for the battery.
