Great if you have an LG OLED TV
Currently the lowest priced Dolby Atmos sound bar on the market. This great sounding and looking sound bar matches seamlessly with the LG OLED TV. The sound is very fine. It will make you very happy when watching Atmos encoded movies and videos. Make sure that you have an LG OLED that supports Dolby Atmos to take full advantage of this system. Disappointing Sound quality and interface to LG TV
I hooked this unit up to our new 65" LG OLED TV. I thought it would be compatible with the ARC HDMI port, but it is not. The only port that I could get it to work out of is the Optical port.The sound will not sync up to the TV, so it is off by about 1/4 second. I downloaded the manual and went through all of the steps to make sure I was doing everything correctly. The sound quality is just okay. Not great. I had to tweak it so it wasn't so "bassy". Atmos uncluttered.
Alright, I'll be real here. There is no substitute for the real thing (physical speakers set up), but damn it sure is impressive. Make sure to use the HDMI as I only got PCM streams with optical. Also, set your uhd player to bitstream in order to get ATMOS as intended. The bar will tell you what audio streams are being decoded so its pretty easy to troubleshoot/enjoy. The cherry is that my LG OLED allows for use of only one remote once integrated. Best compact ATMOS bar for the money imho.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Next gen of soundbars
I was a "big speakers, big sound" person, but I am very impressed with the sound and how well balanced this was right out of the box. Good styling and almost invisible, except for the sub. No "bass fatigue" after listening for long periods. Whether listening to music or dialogue, every word is clear. Very good for even a large home room. Clearing out my tower speakers and amplifier. Sacrificing my tuner, but mostly use streaming music, cast to the SJ9 with built-in wifi. The bluetooth is also convenient.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

decent sound not worth the $800 price tag
much bigger then most sound bars good if your TV is on stand not good for wall mounted TV. For the price I paid i am happy with the sound quality but Truth be told was expecting a bit more. Not an audiophile but my two floor standing polk speakers which came cheaper then this 5 yrs back have richer more enjoyable sound . the bass is kind of muddy which disappoints in music dont feel it as much in moviesVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great sound, but room for improvement
It needs a detachable power cord. It has lip sync issues with our LG OLED TV. It blocks the bottom of the TV, but that is a TV stand-support issue. It needs more HDMI 2.2 ports. A rather expensive add-on to an LG TV
I ordered this to compliment my new LG OLED TV. It installed very quickly and generally does a good job. I am using it as a switch to connect my DIRECTV box and TV together so that when I turn on the TV it turns both the Direct TV box, the TV and the soundbar. I am having a problem getting this to work but I suspect the problem is more with the 4K Directv box than the soundbar.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

An impressive soundbar with rich sound, advanced features, beautiful design and reasonable price
I ordered this soundbar Friday afternoon and it was promptly delivered the following Tuesday. This high-end soundbar meets my expectation in terms of sound quality, features and design. It's a great companion to the LG B7 OLED TV as both are capable of processing Dolby Atmos. I use it to replace a 7.1 home theater system in the living room. Even though there's no comparison between a soundbar and a full size home theater setup, on the whole I'm very impressed with the powerful and rich sound created by SJ9 for a relatively large open space. Its built-in Chrome-cast and Bluetooth are great tools for me to stream music to the soundbar with ease using a smart phone. I also enjoy its unique contemporary design which is a nice enhancement to the ambiance of the living room. Overall I'm very satisfied with the product. Not what I expected for the price
I have a cheap surround sound speaker system ($150) that actully performs better than the SJ9 Really weak on bass and even maxing out the bass barely gets it to an acceptable level. Would not purchase again. Bought it to go with my LG OLED 65" TV which is amazing. Wish I could say the same about the sound bar. Dolby Atmos is barely noticeable.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Poor design meets average quality and a high price
Sounds fine-good, not really commensurate with price though. Main problems are a glossy top finish that reflects light from the TV and an always on and distracting display (usually just "HDMI IN").
