An enduring classic. Long live BIONICLE!
Pros-
-BIONICLE: it's a bionicle which is an automatic pro.
-Packaging: It has a pretty excellent canister that can not only be used to store the set, but also be used for play, as the canister is used as a transport vessel in-story.
-Colors: Has some AMAZING color blocking for the time. The use of complimentary colors (red and orange) give the character a red, hot, fiery appearance.
-Play: The character has an arm-swinging feature, which is honestly super fun to mess around with. You can also swap out the mask that comes with the set with other masks from the line.
-Iconicity: This is arguably one of the most iconic Lego sets of all time, and a bastion for one of my favorite Lego themes ever, BIONICLE.
-Extras: Included the figure itself, instructions and a canister, but also came with a poster which advertised some other nostalgic sets from the time.
Cons-
-Poseability: The figure is way too stiff. The neck is fixed, and the legs and arms have no knees or elbows. One shoulder is also fixed, but the other can freely spin around because of the swinging feature. This can be easily modified, and I don't dislike the set because of it, but it is a con.
-Hand: The right hand on this guy just looks wierd. That's it.
-Damage: The figure did have a couple of chewed up axles, along with a dented canister and a cracked gearbox/torso, but nothing that wasn't as advertised or easily replaceable.
