Worth it’s weight in golden oldies.
3CD set with lots of lovely, lesser known tracks along with more familiar delights. I haven’t heard some of these since the days of the Pirate Radio ships in the 1960’s. The Gallic insouciance of Francoise Hardy, the sweet soul and gritty R’n’B of Barbara Lynn, Fontella Bass, Sugar Pie DeSanto, and the memorable Valerie Mountain. When did you last hear any of them on our formulaic golden oldies radio shows? This is a compilation to treasure!
