  • Great for Birding, Tripod not required

Love the image stabilized binoculars. This is my second pair. Bought Canons' 10x32 many years ago and love them. Wanted something with a bit more power. They are pricey, but if you want to see fine detail while bird watching IS binocular's are the only way to go. I can't compare them to any other brands, but I am a Canon guy. Also have two Canon cameras. Must say, Canon could do better with the soft feel coating on the housing. Like many other people have commented, the coating gets sticky and needs to be removed. At any rate I bought a second pair and I love them. I will give my 10x32 to my wife to use when we go birding.

  • exceptional

These are the best binoculars I've ever bought. Honestly it took awhile to buy them due to the price. 2 friends of mine own them but bought the 18x instead. One is a hunting guide and the other an novice astronomer. Both said that 28x is a little overkill and look at the 12 or 15x. I went with the 12 and love them!!! The ability to watch a stable image at 400++ yards is worth every penny. For me and hunting it's to immediately identify if that's a trophy buck or not. They really are worth the money. Mine are water resistant. If you are planning on playing in puddles or hunting in very wet conditions just get the 15x waterproof. If you are thinking about getting them just do it. You won't regret it.

  • Canon 12x36 IS III Image Stabilized Binoculars

I love these binoculars. The Image Stabilizer allows use of 12X power by significantly reducing motion normally seen in similar binoculars of similar magnification. I've used them hunting for several years and they hold up. You can buy more expensive, but these are great! Highly recommend them.

  • Great for long distance viewing

I plan to use this to read equipment nameplates from a distance. The image stabilization is very good as some are over 20 feet away. These are light weight for the features it has and uses common off the shelf batteries.

  • excellent binoculars

these are the best binoculars I have ever owned. they are expensive but well worth the price. I wish I would have bought a pair years ago. if your looking for a great pair of binoculars this is it. the only negative thing I can find with them and it's not really that bad is they are a little heavy to hold up for long periods of time.

  • Image stabilizing really works

This is my first venture into the IS technology. I could not find a local store that carries a binoculars with it, so had to buy by mail to try. After reading reviews on many sites, this model hit the sweet spot for quality and price. The clarity is excellent and the stabilization feature really works. All favorable with just two exceptions: somewhat heavy, but IS only adds a couple ounces; there are no caps for the objective lenses. Very happy with it overall.

  • Very good, yet strong lower cost Image Stabilized Binoculars

This Canon 12X36 IS III binocular replaced my very old original 10X30 IS I pair. Those have stood up well to the test of time and use, but it was time for something a little bit stronger for these older eyes. This pair works perfectly for me and although they are slightly larger than the original 10X30's, they are still light enough and small enough to pack for a trip and carry on hikes. Many complain of the stifness of the eye relief. I do not find this to be a detriment. Although I wear glasses, I do not prefer to wear them while using binoculars, as these can easily be adjusted accordingly for my eyes. Personally, I have never used a pair of binoculars that was comfortable to use while wearing glasses. Over all, I am quite pleased with this purchase. If asked to provide a con, it might be the quality or lack of padding associated with the carry case they come in. It has not changed over the 30 years of the product line and is fairly weak as far as providing protection. Hard cases are available, however providing a more durable case would definately result in an increase in the cost of the product.

  • Best Handheld Binos!

I don't like these binoculars, I "Love These Binoculars"!! They are very easy to hold, light weight enough to not get tired of holding them, and when you "push the button" it is pure magic!! Focusing is easy too. They are great for bird watching and especially for my passion of stargazing! My only criticism is they did not come with covers for the front lenses to keep dust & moisture off of them.

  • The stabilization works amazingly well

These Binoculars are fantastic. The stabilization works amazingly well. Normal 10 power binoculars are agony to use, particularly looking at fine details such as a distant sign. The stabilization makes it like looking at a still photo. Great.
