Twice the excitement
I have only ever seen these fantastic films on tv, never for sale on dvd anywhere except on EBay. The Raid, and Raid 2 are the best martial arts films I have ever seen. The leading actors may be unfamiliar to western eyes at the moment, but the action never stops as these experts demonstrate their astonishing skills in fight scenes that last for several minutes at a time. The steady camera work allows the viewer to see these martial artists do their stuff without the jerky and tiring to watch bouncy steadicam and bad scene cutting often seen in other films. The first film sets a fast pace which is picked up and accelerated in the second, it’s hard to see how a third (proposed) sequel can top it, but I'm sure it will. I recommend these films to anyone who is tired of the mainstream studio 'actioners' and wants to see some riveting displays of martial arts experts doing their stuff. A GRIPPING ADVENTURE
Bought this for my teenager and he found this absolutely brilliant. Being able to watch 1 & 2 back to back only made the storyline more enjoyable. Although its an 18 and there's the usual blood guts and bad language, its up there with the untouchable type of blast em movies.
