Barnaby Jones - the aging private detective delivers
Well - what can I say? Having grown up in the 70s with all the classic crime detective shows like Cannon, Kojak, Columbo, Hawaii 5-0, Mannix, Streets of San Francisco, I think it was a time when you could see a show with a lead character old enough to be your grandparent. To watch these episodes all over again and remember the plots and guest stars takes me back to that time in my life. TV was different back then and today you would not stand a chance to see an older character as the lead on ANY show. I had the pleasure of meeting Buddy Ebsen in the 90s at a book signing of his. What a talent that man was! - Finally all the episodes in one box! And I don't mind the quality of some of the video being less than stellar considering the age of the material. Vintage TV, the best of the best
This is one of he best of the "old time" TV shows. The stories are always entertaining, some with great plot twists. It's fun to see the hair styles, clothing and cars of that era.
